    I worked at Home Paramount Pest Control full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Technical Department has good minds but are under utilized. There were very good people that would come along at the branch level but typically they were run off quickly.

    Cons

    Very demanding work schedule especiallynfor branch managers. Long Saturdays to hit unattainable numbers. Very poor business ethics. Abuse of conference calls was awful. Every single morning reading off silly numbers from the day before. Its 2017. Read an email you dumb hillbilly.

    Advice to Management

    I could go on for days about the unethical practices this place continues to do. They push revenue, revenue, revenue even if jobs need done during improper times or label violations.
       I've seen "regional managers" with zero qualifications to be there but get the position simply because they will carry out the owners obsurd plans. I've witnessed a "cfo" hand down budgets to branches with no idea how he got to the numbers on the page. I saw branch managers fired simply because they were trying to do the right thing but it wasn't exactly what the owners wanted. They use the term "manager" very loosly because they have no intention of you managing anything. They simply want you to be a puppet and do exactly as told no matter what the cost.
        I can assure you that 75% of the positive feedback on this site are dummy reviews. Most employees are miserable but feel trapped or overwhelmed with the thought of being unemployed or job hunting. I have even heard that they ask their current managers to go on and post positive reviews on sites.
        Working for a family owned company was supposed to be something that could set them apart from the Large Corporations but i can tell you from experience working for them all that this is by far the worst.

    Pros

    Take home vehicle. Lots of travel between Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Delaware if you like that kind of thing.

    Cons

    Overworked and little time home. Pay was just ok.

    I worked at Home Paramount Pest Control full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Good people to work with. Just about every employee who held a position that was "in the trenches"...you know, those who actually did work, were great people who just happened to have the misfortune of working for a company that did not appreciate them.

    Cons

    Whether you worked as a pest technician, or as an outside sales guy/girl, you were not only expendable, but also had to accept the fact that the commission you were promised, would almost never appear in your paycheck. Various forms of mathematical voodoo and magic was used to justify the loss of commission by upper management.

    Advice to Management

    A well compensated employee is a motivated, loyal employee. My understanding is that, when this company first began, it was a great company. You may want to research how it first began, and possibly make an effort to return to its roots. Then again, that would be career suicide. The current owners do not share that mentality.

    Pros

    Branch works well as a team. Company car and gas card.

    Cons

    This company is GOING DOWNHILL FAST... The CEO and VP have absolutely no idea what they are doing nor do they have any "in-field" experience at all. They are losing employees left and right and don't even care. All they care about is MONEY, MONEY, MONEY...AND THEN, MORE MONEY !!! They say this is a family owned company...what a crock!!! They could care less about their employees. They overwork you and underpay you.

    Advice to Management

    Get out as soon as you can. This company makes promises and doesn't keep them. They make up rules as they go along to prevent Branch Managers and Service Managers from getting their quarterly bonuses. They micro-manage everything you do. There are people holding high positions at Corporate that are clueless as to how to run a successful company.

    Pros

    They provide an opportunity for person with very little formal education or training to work. If you are prepared to work hard you can make a decent living. The company does provide a decent level of technical training

    Cons

    The benefits offered by the company are very expensive and many times the way management treats its employees is unacceptable. Many times managers are simply promoted from the field without adequate training on how to be managers.

    Advice to Management

    Improve communications and listen to your employees. Improve training and hire managers who respect their people. Investing in management training will lead to better results for the organization.
