I have been working at HomeStreet full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Focused management, leaner than when I came aboard which I count as a good thing. Very involved teamwork at all levels. Best team that I've been a part of in 17 years of originating.

    Cons

I do not have any real cons to speak of. It sounds like a fake review, but I am very satisfied with my current work environment. It would be nice if the footprint was slightly expanded regarding state licensing.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work, resist the urge to bloat with layers of unnecessary management. A few more states would be helpful to expand lending footprint.

I have been working at HomeStreet full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Not a single one. They have no loyalty to their employees nor do they have but a handful left!

    Cons

Manager hired all co workers from previous employer. Layoffs to all but her friends. No compassion for those that have worked hard for the company. HS is closing offices in large numbers so don't be fooled by an offer, should you get one.

    Advice to Management

Fire Manger and Sr and hire quality Executives that know how to run a business.

I worked at HomeStreet full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

HomeStreet is a quickly growing organization with a goal to operate on low overhead costs. This provides motivated and talented individuals with opportunities to grow through diverse roles in a fast pace environment. Additionally, HomeStreet has a deeply rooted culture of strong ethics and community. It is apparent these cultural values are instilled in management as they build genuine relationships with their teams and seek to provide their employees opportunities for growth. HomeStreet is the right place for someone who is looking to work hard, embrace high growth, can be comfortable in an ever-changing environment, and wants to add value as a member of a team.

    Cons

As previously stated, this is a high growth, fast pace environment. Some personality types struggled with the work load, consistently changing environment, and direct management oversight.

    Advice to Management

I believe employees would value additional downstream communication. They often complain about the workload or direction and I believe this is rooted in not fully understanding how they are contributing to the long term strategy of the organization on a day to day basis.

I have been working at HomeStreet full-time

    Pros

They have great benefits and discounts that makes it easy for someone want to work there for a long time. Communication between the managers and employees are great. There are several locations people can transfer to if need be for growth.

    Cons

In general, they are a bit disorganized in at least one department and it does not seem like things are going to change for a while.
