    Pros

Enjoyed my time with Homeland, worked hard and became an assistant manager. Really loved the fact that they hire handicapped individuals to sack groceries a couple of hours a day.

    Cons

Don't have any cons. The company has people that have stuck around 20 plus years, so in my eyes they treated people fairly.

One of the best reasons to work for Homeland is because they are very flexible with scheduling and they are also very lenient. It is great for a first job.

    Cons

Some cons about working at Homeland is the pay and management is poor as well.

    Advice to Management

I would listen to your employees more often.

I have been working at Homeland Stores full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good pay for the some positions

    Cons

Very old worn out equipment. Everything is used up when it's given to another store. The money spent on repairing this worn out stuff is outrageous.

    Advice to Management

Stop forcing out stuff that's not ordered. Not every location sells the same. What sells in the city may not out west. No thought is put into locations. Right now, west store has 7 pallets of cereal on the floor. What are they thinking? Manager has no common sense. Just an overpaid stocker that can't even do that right. Bad front end day personnel that likes to scream at employees. It's a circus.

I have been working at Homeland Stores full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They work with my college schedule and give you the days you request off if done in advance. Business is laid back during morning hours and after 8 pm.

    Cons

Store manager and assistant store manager are hardly present. If you work the customer service booth, you essentially have no help.

    Advice to Management

    Communication is needed

    Advice to Management

Stop trying to grow and focus on what you have. This advice is probably way too late as it has already moved past the point of saving.
