I have been working at Homeside Financial full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The culture at Homeside Financial is second to none.

Every employee at Homeside from top to bottom is willing to bend over backwards to help one another.

Upper management at Homeside does a great job of communicating their goals and expectations while providing employees with the knowledge and resources necessary to accomplish both personal and company wide goals.

Homeside is a very upbeat team oriented company and I truly enjoy coming in to work every day!

    Cons

Learning how to use some of the loan officer software on the fly can be a little tough to start, but there is more than enough help within Homeside to conquer this learning curve.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. Transparency and recognition from management are key and those are two things that I feel Homeside excels with.

I have been working at Homeside Financial full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Homeside is the consummate place to work for someone who strives to be a self-starter and is given constant opportunities to cultivate that, while most other companies would hold their employees back and be restrictive. Their investment in their employees is like nothing I have experienced before in any other industry. It speaks volumes when a place has been rated the best place to work 3 years in a row in Columbus, Ohio because there is a large, diversely talented pool of candidates for finance jobs in the city. The comradery in the office is second to none, and you will be working with people like minded and goal oriented, who have a good sense of work-life balance.

    Cons

More happy hours at different locations throughout Columbus

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing, it is working just fine.

I have been working at Homeside Financial full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Incredible work culture and atmosphere! In my short time here I have met some people that I already include among my closest friends. I have also been put in a position to pursue career goals I never even considered for myself before Homeside.

    Cons

The only con I can really point to are some signs of favoritism. I have seen some instances where a group of employees were in the same position as far as achievements and where they were in their Homeside careers but one or two employees seemed to get an opportunity to accelerate their paths without clear reasoning or explanation.

    Advice to Management

Keep the culture the same! Remember that everyone feeling that they matter and have a voice is what has made this company one of the greatest and fastest growing companies in the country. Finally, perception is key, so even for for upper management try to take a deeper look at each situation to make sure that all employees are being afforded the same opportunities.

I have been working at Homeside Financial full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great work environment, fun people. Benefits are easy and lots of upward movement within the company based on performance.

    Cons

Strict hours, and as an entry level worker you will be asked to perform full work duties and also train for licensing (which is quite difficult).

    Advice to Management

Please allow more integration of studying and training for new role while in the Account Manager position.

    - Good compensation and flexibility.
    - Company-wide happy hours every month.
    - Performance based prizes and contests.
    - The opportunity to grow and be promoted is definitely there.

    Cons

    - The leads we call aren't the best at times.
    - Some of the bonus structures are also not that great.
    - The benefits package including 401k match could be a lot better.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. You're building a monster of a company by hiring the right people who are eager to succeed. Invest in offices out west to expand!

    Pros

Culture, culture, culture! This establishment is hands down the BEST place I've worked in my career. I've never worked at a place that invests in their employees as much as Homeside, and the culture here is phenomenal.

    Cons

Yet to find anything to complain about.

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up!

    Pros

Relaxed work environment, good management, friendly people, understanding, promote from within, free lunch, fun happy hours lol

    Cons

Not good training, they promote from within but are not persistent with training. TRAINING SUCKS! They expect you to beg, and beg in order to move up the ladder.

    Advice to Management

Work on their training, especially when they are trying to move people up the ladder.
