I worked at Homewatch CareGivers full-time

    Pros

Good mission, too bad it does not trickle down to all employees

    Cons

VPs battle for power and "manage" the CEO. Be careful coming to work for the HQ. It depends on department as to favoritism and keeping/promoting some to director level that have no business managing people. HR will tell you that everyone is treated equal if/when you try to negotiate terms. Once on board you will see this is not true. Very toxic work environment.

    Advice to Management

Treat everyone equally, Quit letting the VPs ruin the company and play favorites. CEO/President needs to pay attention on how employees are treated and show the compassion the company was built on.

I have never felt more comfortable with a management team. The communication is awesome and it made all the difference. It is obvious that they care about their employees and are always there for support. I feel that we are on the same page and if not I would never hesitate to ask.

    Cons

It is not always consistent but so flexible. Depends on what you need.

    Pros

A variety of clients ensures you will not be bored. It's never dull

    Cons

It would be really hard to live on the low salary. Travel time between clients is not paid

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Homewatch CareGivers part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You get to work mostly with elderly clients, helping to brighten their day. Paid milage from when you first check in until your final check out, at the end of the day. Time and a half over time and holiday pay. Schedule is set 2-4 weeks in advance. It's a growing business, always gaining new clients, so work is steady. Uses "Kantime" which makes checking in, viewing schedules, and sending messages to supervisors easy. Also, you get paid for any mandatory training (which is every few months).

    Cons

Not too many opportunities to advance. Some clients can be challenging to work with. You may be called to cover a shift last minute.
