Pros

Learned a lot about the industry and how to be resourceful out of necessity

Cons

Overall, the culture was very closed, and not certain key executives and directors were not trustworthy or very honest. I witnessed them force out a young woman after she had recently returned from maternity leave because she brought her child in when she could not find child care. It was despicable and very unpleasant. Then the CEO, Seth Goldman, refused to sign off on her unemployment claiming that because she left "voluntarily" she was not being honest. He even had HR and others claim she had been welcomed back from maternity leave when actually the scenario was quite different. He even said to some staff he was relieved when she was pressured out. HR stood completely behind him and did not consider the employee's rights or situation. It was a disgusting act by the leadership, and there were several more who experienced sexist and biased behavior if they did not seem to "fit in".

Pros

-You meet some great lifetime friends here - Free tea - Lots of free snacks from partners - Access to some cool events and concerts

Cons

- HR was pretty bleak - the department was catty and did not help employees at all in tough situations. - Work load was unreal. Sometimes I (and my colleagues) would work 70+ hour weeks and no days off, months at a time. This was the norm and if you mentioned it to your manager, they would scoff at you. - Terrible management training and support. My supervisor bullied me frequently to work more, but offered no support whatsoever. It was a "figure it out" attitude or suffer the consequences. - Upper management encourages you to also overwork your interns and part-time employees. I will say, this was not the case in all of the country, but more so in the big market areas. - Pay is on the lower end.

Pros

There isn't much to say in the area of pros. You can drink as much tea as you want and you get two cases a month of tea.

Cons

Increases are minimal, individuals in leadership who don't belong and have no clue what they're doing, high turnover but likes to boast that people have been there for a long time, no processes or strategies in place, HR is inefficient, cheap company and doesn't like to spend money on anything.
