I have been working at HoneyBook full-time for more than a year

    Pros

HoneyBook's culture is unlike any place I've worked before. The core values are so much more than words posted throughout the office–they are the guiding framework for company decisions. The leadership team at HoneyBook is incredible. They are very transparent and keep all employees, regardless of seniority or level, in the know. Leadership cares about the well-being of employees and they understand that this...

    Cons

Not all roles have a clear growth path. However, we do value internal movement, so when a new role opens, internal employees are encouraged to interview if they are qualified :)

    Advice to Management

Keep listening to feedback from employees.

I have been working at HoneyBook full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Product: Working on a great product is one story, but working on one where you can see the positive impact it's having every day is a whole other one. Knowing that the better we make the product, the better we're making our members' lives- their ability to make a living doing something their passionate about so they can provide for themselves/their families and giving them literal time back in their day to focus on...

    Cons

    - Time zones: Be prepared to be working at different times (and even different days) than some members of your team if you're working with the office in Tel Aviv. That said, everyone is amazing and accommodating (so you should be too!), and it's usually pretty easy to find a way to work around the distance/time differences.

I have been working at HoneyBook full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

-The people & culture are amazing - this is hard to come by and we haven't compromised this at all even as we've scaled headcount -Mission and creative economy we are serving - i innately believe in what we are doing -Core values are actually real and lived by - they mean something and drive our behavior -Beautiful office space -Female empowerment -No office drama, little politics

    Cons

Though we are getting more seasoned, tenured execs in, leadership is generally young and inexperienced

    Advice to Management

Continue to hire people who have "been there done that" to take the company to the next level/trajectory

I have been working at HoneyBook full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I have been at HoneyBook for over 2 years and here are the pros: - I have seen our leadership act upon our core values time and again - People really care about each other - We have real transparency, and we have real conversations - Our teams care about our customers, and are encouraged to prioritize the right thing instead of the easy solution - We encourage people to take initiative and take initiative on their...

    - Sometimes people take the "We are family" value to mean we are not a business - We're highly collaborative, and if you don't enjoy working with people or cross-functionally, this is not the place for you

    Advice to Management

    - Continue to trust your teams, but also guide them always

I have been working at HoneyBook for less than a year

    Pros

Coming to HoneyBook has been the best move of my career thus far. The company is one of a kind, truly a hidden gem. The office itself is gorgeous, clean, and has everything you could possible need (great snacks, fully equipped tech). Everyone works hard, meaning that supervisors don't need to micro-manage, and we really own our work. Everyone is extremely welcoming and kind. The culture and core values are truly lived...

The office is not dog-friendly. Please consider allowing furry friends at work! Maybe even just on Fridays? Would really help work-life balance for some HoneyBookers that would stay later, but need to leave the office promptly to let out their doggies!

Hi there -- thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts and hey, I heard you on the dogs! As a recent dad of my 5-month-old (which, for readers' sakes, I co-parent with my cofounder and wife, Naama), the rush-and-shuffle game of picking up my little loved one from day care is ...

I have been working at HoneyBook

    Pros

The culture is amazing and bar none the best start up culture I have ever been a part of. People are genuinely and ridiculously passionate about the company, their job, the product, members and the value we continually provide our members. Transparency, collaboration, recognition and feedback are paramount. Everyone has a voice and is encouraged to use it to make an impact. If you're looking to make an impact, in an office...

I have been working at HoneyBook full-time

    Pros

HoneyBook lives and breathes its core values. I know it sounds fluffy, but everyone here is very sincere and passionate about what they do. From the moment I signed, every touch and interaction with the company was amazing and personal. - Amazing working space - Really good culture of feedback and improvement - Clear focus and company mission - Fun celebrations- Happy Hours, birthdays, anniversarys, employee appreciation...

    - It can get high pressure sometimes. And I've been stressed out a number of times when lots of deadlines come up or when miscommunication or product bugs happen. - Sometimes the office can get loud - between music and conversations and collaboration. - Sometimes there are miscommunications between departments. Its something we're working on, but it is a pain point in the company. - Sometimes you feel that...

I have been working at HoneyBook full-time

      Pros

One of the company's core values is that people come first and it really is embodied in everything we do. Everyone has a chance to grow and contribute in their own unique ways with the full support of management.

      Cons

It is still a startup and you're expected to work very hard, so if you're looking for a cushy place this isn't for you. That being said, you know you're surrounded by people dedicated to succeed and there's never any worry about whether people are pulling their weight or not.

      Advice to Management

Other than maybe getting a ping pong table, i'd say keep up the good work!

Hey there, thanks for the comment! I have to just tell you though...my cofounder Shadiah disallowed the ping pong table a long time ago (something about this not becoming a fratty culture...). You know where to find her (good luck). -Oz

I have been working at HoneyBook full-time for more than a year

      Pros

We have a set of core values in place that gives a daily reminder of who we are and what we strive for as a company and as a family. The culture is so reflective of this and in making new employees feel as part of the company as those who have been here for years. Best described as warm and welcoming!

      Cons

Not everyone is cut out to work at a start up. You must be adaptable to new roles and responsibilities. If you love challenging yourself and growing professionally and personally, then you will fit right in!

      Advice to Management

The culture that has been created is irreplaceable. Continue to invest in your people and culture and I think we will see nothing but magic.
