I have been working at HoneyBook full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Product: Working on a great product is one story, but working on one where you can see the positive impact it's having every day is a whole other one. Knowing that the better we make the product, the better we're making our members' lives- their ability to make a living doing something their passionate about so they can provide for themselves/their families and giving them literal time back in their day to focus on...

    Cons

    - Time zones: Be prepared to be working at different times (and even different days) than some members of your team if you're working with the office in Tel Aviv. That said, everyone is amazing and accommodating (so you should be too!), and it's usually pretty easy to find a way to work around the distance/time differences.

Thank you so much for sharing this. It means a lot to hear that you feel empowered, challenged, and at the same time supported by the people surrounding you. Having #oneoffice with locations in opposite timezones does make for scheduling challenges. I'd love to hear any ideas you ...

I have been working at HoneyBook full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

So, HoneyBook has a set of five values which are central to their business. One that really sticks out to me is the "people come first" principle. It's often used to describe how the company proactively engages with its users. But as an employee, I also see it expressed within their company culture. On top of typical SF tech perks (PTO, beautiful office, free cold brew), the thing that sets HoneyBook apart is how it supports...

The company HQ is in San Francisco but the bulk of the engineering team is in Tel Aviv. As an engineer in SF, the time difference and holiday differences can make collaborating difficult.

    Advice to Management

Keep people first and HoneyBook will stay a great company to work at.

I'm glad to hear you're using your development budget to learn about new types of technology. Working alongside intellectually curious peers is a game changer. You should do a 7x7 all hands presentation to share this with the rest of the company! Regarding the time difference with ...

I have been working at HoneyBook full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Family like atmosphere Extremely professional and fun co-workers Continuously improving ourselves and looking for ways to get better at what we do and the way we do it. People come first is not just one of our values, I feel it everyday working here

    Cons

I know it's been written before but it's the only thing that is a con in my opinion - managing the time difference between SF and TLV. I have to say that it is something that gets better over time and we try to find the right balance.

    Advice to Management

Keep the family environment even when we're a 1000 employees
