I have been working at HoneyBook full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

So many things. First, a wonderful workplace that both fosters hard work and work/life balance. Secondly, HoneyBook is a mission driven company with a clear understanding and goal of the impact it wants to make on the world. Thirdly, users love the product which makes coming in every day and doing your job exciting and fulfilling. You're able to have a direct impact on the trajectory of the company and given a lot...

    Cons

Depending on your role, collaborating across timezones with remote colleagues can be tough.

    Advice to Management

Keep acknowledging achievements both at a company level and individually. Focus on the product and technology behind it to make it best-in-class. Continue to hire the right people -- it's what makes this company what it is.

I have been working at HoneyBook full-time for more than a year

    Pros

From the minute you walk in the door at HoneyBook, you really do feel like family. The small on-boarding touches make it easy to swiftly integrate with the culture and feel right at home. I've never worked somewhere where every single employee genuinely cares about everyone else. Whether it's a birthday, Honey-versary, or personal goal, the entire team celebrates. By far the best work-life balance I have ever experienced....

    Cons

We need to implement a better process to kickoff projects and keep them organized. Need better planning/forecasting, but I think we are working toward a solution here.

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up :)

I worked at HoneyBook full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

The culture at HoneyBook is unmatched. I've worked at a number of other startups at different stages and none of them come close to HoneyBook in terms of culture. The office is incredible, the perks are outstanding and some of your colleagues will most likely become friends. The work environment is very fast paced, but there is definitely a strong respect for work-life balance and HoneyBook is very supportive of parents.

    Cons

With the company moving so quickly, goals/initiatives/projects are always changing. If you are uncomfortable with change and prefer to stick to just your defined role, this probably isn't the right company for you.

    Advice to Management

Keep at it and make sure that company culture remains consistent as the business continues to grow.

I loved reading this review. We take pride in our flexible parent benefits, maternity room, and maternity and paternity leave. I could go on and on about future of workplace philosophies, but you were here long enough to hear all of them, I'm sure! And you're right, startup life is ...

I have been working at HoneyBook for more than a year

    Pros

Coming to HoneyBook has been the best move of my career thus far. The company is one of a kind, truly a hidden gem. The office itself is gorgeous, clean, and has everything you could possible need (great snacks, fully equipped tech). Everyone works hard, meaning that supervisors don't need to micro-manage, and we really own our work. Everyone is extremely welcoming and kind. The culture and core values are truly lived...

    Cons

The office is not dog-friendly. Please consider allowing furry friends at work! Maybe even just on Fridays? Would really help work-life balance for some HoneyBookers that would stay later, but need to leave the office promptly to let out their doggies!

Hi there -- thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts and hey, I heard you on the dogs! As a recent dad of my 5-month-old (which, for readers' sakes, I co-parent with my cofounder and wife, Naama), the rush-and-shuffle game of picking up my little loved one from day care is ...

    Pros

BRIGHTAZZ FUTURE OVER HURRR. HoneyBook is basically Disneyland. Happiest place on earth.. but like the happiest place to work. Management is very transparent. They share lit er ally everything with all the employees so we're always updated on the direction and working towards the same goals and vision. They don't just tell us wsup, but they want to know wsup with us too. "Office hours" and constant channels for feedback...

    Cons

HoneyBook is very selective in who they hire. Which in a way is a good thing because once you're an employee, you're working with the best of the best!

    Advice to Management

I don't really have any advice at the moment... but it's great knowing that when i do, it will be heard and accepted through the many channels that management is available to us through.

HoneyBook lives and breathes its core values. I know it sounds fluffy, but everyone here is very sincere and passionate about what they do. - It can get high pressure sometimes. And I've been stressed out a number of times when lots of deadlines come up or when miscommunication or product bugs happen. - Sometimes the office can get loud - between music and conversations and collaboration. - Sometimes there are miscommunications between departments. Its something we're working on, but it is a pain point in the company. - Sometimes you feel that...

I have been working at HoneyBook full-time for more than 2 years

      Pros

HoneyBook has got to be one of the most rewarding companies I've worked for. You can, and are expected to, make an impact on the company's product and growth. Beyond that: -Leadership focuses on transparent communication -Open communication around strategic initiatives and product roadmap -Great culture, really cool people -Flexible work life balance-I work long hours by my own volition. Some might consider these cons or positives. Most come with the territory of working for a startup. -Product is always evolving, not fully baked -There isn't a manual or SOP for everything -Not a 9-5pm job -Things change. The tendency to question and challenge norms is woven into the culture. This can be incredibly positive for a business, but it's something I had to get used to, as I came from working at large...

      "People come first"

      StarStarStarStarStar
        Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at HoneyBook

        Pros

HoneyBook is on a fast moving train to success and you can always feel the momentum. Geuninely, people come first at HoneyBook. Be it employees, members, or anyone that walks through the front door. It's the culture and what really sets us apart.

        Cons

It is a start up. Things move fast (extremely fast), directions change, people wear multiple hats and hours our long. We are all working hard to build our own company and that's what is encouraged. We all have ownership and pull or individual weight to be successful. We know that now is the time to make it work. So if you aren't willing to sacrifice a little work life balance...
