    Pros

Free lunch and snacks everyday and free commute. very good 401K.
    Unlimited vacation policy. Good infrastructure.

    Cons

No work from home. Very bad team environment, racism in team.
Manager delegates his responsibilities to one person in the team who is good at politics.

    Advice to Management

Follow proper process in everything. Manger doesn't take action even when people in the team are fighting everyday

I worked at Honeywell Process Solutions full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible schedule, relaxed work environment (when equipment was operating properly), decent pay for the area, when major equipment casualties occurred we were able to get senior techs from other sites to assist, training opportunities were available.

    Cons

Giant corporation, making everything convoluted. Chain of command was confusing, ordering parts was confusing, difficult to get in touch with boss due to remote work. Being on call every 3rd week was a major stressor, insurance was pretty pricey.

    Pros

    Pay and benefits are competitive.

    Cons

There are some serious leadership concerns.

    Advice to Management

Leadership at all levels need to learn how to inspire their people. A manager, no matter how much they are paid, is very different than a leader.

I worked at Honeywell Process Solutions full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Opportunities to participate in large projects in different parts of the world. Access to training, and a stringent safety culture. Excellent 401k company match.

    Cons

Health benefits not so good. Remote worker policy cancelled with little warning making people drive severasl hours to an office or relocate to a different city. All so that you can sit in an office with people who were not even in your department. Unnecessary disruption in people's lives. The best talent does not always live near an office.

Management does not always promote the best talent, but will back a favorite regardless of competency or track record of failed assignments. Leadership is encouraged as long as you can lead within the narrow parameters set by non-visionary managers.

    Advice to Management

Learn to evaluate people, not just production numbers.

I have been working at Honeywell Process Solutions full-time

    Pros

I'm about 2 weeks into the job, but it feels professional without feeling stuffy. Coworkers are very hospitable and helpful in my on-boarding which as so far consisted of online training and reading of documentation.

    Cons

One sort of dream for a software engineer is to be working on code on the first day, but here it's been 2 weeks without seeing any code.

    Advice to Management

You need to figure out how to get a new hire into the code faster. If your process is getting in the way rather than helping you, then you need to adjust your process. Perhaps consider process exceptions during a new-hire phase in order for a new hire to have all of the security access needed starting on day 1.
