I have been working at Honeywell full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

All the people I have worked with at Honeywell are great. The teamwork is great. Many opportunities for career development. Developmental moves are encouraged. Many methods used to communicate information to employees - the information is interesting and valuable.

    Cons

Nothing noteworthy - bring your lunch, don't eat in the cafeteria. Depending upon the projects you are assigned, the typical day may not be a "9-to-5".

    Advice to Management

Great job on the information sharing with employees. It makes me feel valued as an employee.

    Pros

The culture is modern and the exposure to cutting edge technology makes it a great place to be employed.

    Cons

It is a very large corporation which comes with lots of pitfalls. These are mostly communication related.

I have been working at Honeywell full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great money, great benefits, and you can have your schedule so that you only work 40 hours/week most of the time. You are encouraged to work more and sometimes you have to of course, but on average you can get away with 40 hours/week.

    Cons

There used to be more cons, but I see the organization making a strong effort to change the culture for the better. We have a new break room, they've been painting, etc...

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing and always strive to be better.

I worked at Honeywell full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Senior management with consistency over time, great acumen for acquisitions, good focus on getting company positioned into markets with growth potential.

Just look at the stock price over last ten years, in good economies and bad ones, and you'll see the values and processes they put in place have worked.

    Cons

Sometimes overly centrally controlled, often overly rigorous performance management system that does account for market reality.

    Advice to Management

Keep the focus, ensure you keep the people that make the business run. Account for work-life balance with younger employees as a way of keeping them.
