I have been working at Honeywell as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great management. Everyone has lots of knowledge on the Honeywell products. There is always an opportunity for growth within the company. Learn a lot of skills while working here.

    Cons

A lot of the factory workers complain about their job. The health insurance is a big issue within the company.

    Advice to Management

The management at the site I worked for was great. They were able to understand and recognize when there was a need on the site.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Honeywell as a contractor (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Steady work. Seven days a work as needed or forced and if you can put up with ignorant , lost, no direction management. UAW #9 has to show the management how to make things run smooth as they did Bendix back in the 1930's. Honeywell strategy brought in bus loads of out of state scabs to put the Union out the door. The Union was happy to work for the present now expired contract, but Honeywell wanted it ALL or nothing. They tried to force a $8,000.00 Medical Insurance deductible down our throats as well as taking away seniority rights. We went the first thirteen weeks out the door with NO unemployment benefits, due to there dirty corrupt deals and had to hire a lawyer to get it.

    Cons

Illegal locked out 317 UAW #9 members in South Bend, 45 in New York due to greedy Management CEO Dave Cote and his blood thirsty UNION HATTING BUDDIES Obama , Clintons and all their money stuffing in their pocket crooked politicians. These people are the ones destroying AMERICA. When your done screwing the good Union folks that have sacrificed time from there families to make millions for you, you can go back to pork- in your own people like you did the Christmas of 2016 with there no pay furlough. Nice job. Merry Christmas!

    Advice to Management

**** or get off the POT. STOP Chocking the American worker. Turn over of supervision is unheard of. I have had at least 13 supervisors in my short 9 yrs in my department alone. Supervision on the floor has to be shown what needs to be done.

    Cons

honeywell is a greedy corporation that locked out its union employees that were making the company record numbers of production because the employees were not willing to accept concessions in their contract offer

    Advice to Management

I worked at Honeywell full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It was a short drive to my job. Pay is good. You may learn some good concepts but never get to implement them.

    Cons

No raise 2 out the 4 years. HR is horrible they let the union employees get away with murder. Supervisors do not stay because the Honeywell Aero Space in Southbend is a dysfunctional organization in 4 years I witnessed no less than 14 supervisors start and leave.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to respect the people that are really running the organization the supervisors.

I have been working at Honeywell full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    A lot of decent people.

    Cons

Never have I seen a more screwed up place. Very much a silo organization. Mix unnecessary complexity and incompetence and you have Honeywell. It was a big deal when they came up with a new department called Honeywell User Experience. They figured out that they should use a user's perspective when designing products and systems. Brilliant!

    Advice to Management

With the furloughs, especially, look at ways to bring morale up.
