Fair pay with poor company culture
Apr 19, 2022 - Project Manager in Hong KongRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Staff are generally responsible and friendly. Career path & salary is stable if you joined as an Executive Trainee - indeed the pay is quite nice given not much intelligence is required for working in this Council. Good work-life balance most of the time.
Cons
Very government-like, bosses are annoying and make you question the meaning of your work: you spend 50% of the time on reports / creative accounting and entertaining management's random requests/ questions, rather than working on the project itself. Not much skills learned other than event management which is nothing professional. Manpower is apparently in shortage, doesn't seem to be fixable in the short term
