I have been working at Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Everyone here is your family. They will take care of you and make sure that you deliver the peninsula standards properly. I am very lucky to have been part of such a sweet management who takes care of their employees.

    Cons

Make sure to keep your people always happy. Show leniency sometimes when a new employee made a mistake.

    Advice to Management

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to work in The Peninsula, Manila. I can only hope and pray I can continue to work under your brand.

I worked at Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

HSH is a very friendly and seemingly flat organization within each hotel. You will have many chances to talk to the C-suite and even the chairman throughout your time here. The comp benefit that comes with employment is nice.

    Cons

Even though you interact with higher management a lot, the career trajectory is unclear and there is a lot of red tape. They love to pick at nitty gritty details, so it isn't a company for people who hate to read the small print.

    Advice to Management

Have clear career paths and proper feedback to help people succeed.
