I have been working at HonorHealth full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

HonorHealth is a great employer. They have given me everything I have asked for in a job. I work closely with medical staff and hospital administration and feel like I am truly part of a team and I feel my input is taken seriously. I even like their cafeteria food. Their salary and benefits are quite competitive. I would highly encourage anyone who is even considering working at HH to apply. They have a very strong presence in the community. Note that HH is a non-profit organization.

    Cons

It takes time for change to happen, though I would assume this is true for any large organization.

    Advice to Management

Keep hiring great people like you are already doing. As long as you keep putting patients first, you will keep succeeding.

I have been working at HonorHealth full-time

    Pros

    Company is great, benefits great.

    Cons

Company is focused on dollars brought in and strict on dollars spent on company expenditures (cutbacks/layoffs). Leadership focused on money brought in, some are people-centric however most are not. They preach trust culture, employee engagement however a lot of employee's (especially my immediate co-workers) fear for their jobs when they make mistakes. They preach that leadership are approachable but it only leaves employees with doubt as some leadership equate mistakes with lack of knowing your duties. Constructive criticism is lacking in certain departments while destructive criticism is for certain departments. I've had co-workers go to HR with their concerns, but they didn't feel assured and a week later my co-worker resigned after speaking to her leadership.

    Advice to Management

Have empathy for your workers. Be a leader - inspire with constructive criticism, teach, approach with empathy, help your workers achieve greatness with construction criticism rather than destructive criticism, be a leader that workers want to follow/emulate rather than hate, be a leader that use their power and control to inspire greatness not abuse that power.

I have been working at HonorHealth full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

HonorHealth tries hard to attract and retain talent, and the incentives (salary and benefits) are quite good. Leadership is very people-centric and accommodating of family needs and work-life balance. High-trust culture. Some folks wax nostalgic about John C Lincoln and how everything was better before the merger with SHC, but for those of us just getting on-board, the experience will be inherently good. Benefit educators round with employees annually to review elections, and this is a great thing. Dress code is lax for employees that don't work directly in patient care; my wardrobe has not benefited from this, but that's on me.

    Cons

Cafeteria fare is expensive. Benefits favor using HonorHealth providers...which makes sense, and isn't really a con, but not everyone wants to work for their health care provider. If you're keen on drinking your own kool-aid though, this could be a pro instead.

    Advice to Management

Stay compelling by staying competitive with salary and benefits.
