I have been working at Hormel full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

You could get a boss that cares about your days off. If you ask for a day they will go out of their way to give it to you.

    Cons

You could work 40 weekends per year. They care about their equal opportunity employment and will go out of their way to take a less qualified candidate.

    Advice to Management

You should pay by the job being done and not the position. The same position title can require more hours and harder work than another job with the same title. Promote the best candidate for the job. Many people who are looking to make Hormel a career are being passed over because of unknown reasons. Nobody can tell someone why they did not get an interview or what they need to do to get the job next time. Perception is a two way street in this company.
