I worked at Horsham Clinic part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great experience, the staff are some of the best people you'll ever meet and they really care about the patients. You'll rarely have a boring shift.

    Cons

If you're per diem they can move you to a different unit if one is short staffed; upper management seems out of touch with their staff on the units and they're a pretty tight knit group; the pay isn't that great

    Advice to Management

Come down to the units more and talk with your staff. Find out what they need/want and discuss any possible changes to protocol or paperwork with them well in advance. Create a space for open dialogue so your staff doesn't feel alienated and unsupported.

I worked at Horsham Clinic full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The patients. I love psych, and adolescent psych. My unit was brand new and I enjoyed coming to work. I also liked most of my coworkers. They give out overtime like candy.

    Cons

Management. It is poorly managed, and staff is NOT SUPPORTED at all. They frequently fire people for one small offense. Very high turnover. Also salaries were not awe inspiring. They do not back up their employees involved patient altercations, which happen frequently as this is a psych hospital.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like you care about them. Better salaries, better benefits, and BACK US UP.

    Pros

Great co-workers, lots of people who have been there a long time and know what they are doing

    Cons

Understaffed, you get pulled to other units a lot. That's really hard on the drug and alcohol units if you aren't used to it.

    Advice to Management

Consider 12 hour shifts, staff would get less burned out.
