    Pros

Too few excellent and caring individuals

    Cons

Competitive and petty person in education/orientation. She will make snap decisions based on assumptions and make your career with this agency unnecessarily dramatic. You will do better here if you know very little
    about hospice care.

    Advice to Management

Recognize the gossip mongers. Always, go in asking ALL parties before you make a staff decision. Don't assume that you have all the answers. Don't assume your talent is "out to get you."

    Cons

As a non-profit organization, salaries are on the lower end (to be expected).

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

excellent cohesiveness among the direct caregivers, caring and compassionate staff.

    Cons

Staff are being pushed to the edge...........with little concern for safety. Patients and family won't complain as they are in the throes of grief. Staff are getting injured at an alarming rate !

    Advice to Management

get it together now and stop chasing away good staff because they have an opinion. A tactic taken on by management to get rid of the experienced "expensive" staff to cut costs.

  8. "Top Notch!!!! Patients and families have a choice in their hospice and palliative care provider."

    Pros

Amazing staff. Patient care is top priority and it shows. Management cares about staff and does everything possible to support. Patients and their families get the very best care. I would only choose Hospice of the Valley.

    Cons

Nothing to share but this will not let me post unless I write 20 negative comments. That's odd

    Advice to Management

Keep advocating for hospice and palliative care. Patients and families have a CHOICE on who will provide care

    Advice to Management

Nothing not the best company to work for. It was best over 1-2 years ago.

I have been working at Hospice of the Valleys full-time

    Pros

Caring for terminally ill is tough but rewarding. It is this alone that keeps me working for this company.

    Cons

The management is terrible. They are only concerned about the reputation of the company. Want free service? Complain. They have continuously cut the patient staff ratio and then cheer as they continue to get good reviews, oblivious they are pushing their staff to the breaking point. They once had a great name in nursing, now it is synonymous with ineptitude and arrogance.

    Advice to Management

Stop pretending that you listen and that you care. Start caring about the bottom line, not the money, not your reputation, the patients.
