    Pros

Great team work with most doctors and fellow coworkers.

    Cons

Pay, not enough people to provide adequate care, no change in broken processes, high turnover rate.

    Advice to Management

More voice for staff, complaints or suggestions currently fall on deaf ears.

I have been working at Hospital Corporation of America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Large hospital with small hospital atmosphere

    Cons

Too few nurses to care for very high acuity patients. Lack of essential equipment e.g. IV pumps. At this hospital you do it all with very little help from ancillary staff.

    Advice to Management

You need a work study group. You're out of touch with nursing. Rather than concentrate solely on profits I suggest you take care of your nurses. It's no wonder there is such a high turn-over rate.

I worked at Hospital Corporation of America as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Several facilities in Texas which provides opportunities to move to a different facility if need be.

    Cons

The pay. As a RN intern, the pay was 12.50 an hour until the contract is offered at the end of your internship. Even then, the pay is a little low at 24.12 an hour. Other hospitals in the DFW area pay their interns full salary from the beginning with insurance 30 days after starting.

    Advice to Management

Pay a fair wage for the internship. 14 weeks at 12.50 an hour isn't enough. Patient care techs make more than that.
