    Pros

Great Health Benefits since you were given the same as the Union employees just at a much higher rate, but still less than most companies for the same benefits

    Cons

company never updated with the times and was still operating as if it was 1970 the downfall I think was engineered and to many eggs were put into the Walmart basket

    Advice to Management

No Advice as they went Bankrupt so it would make little difference at this point Should have been a little wiser in how they spent there money

    Pros

Very little. Company getting bought and sold multiple times, 17 hour work days

    Cons

Same as above, very misleading and unstable, extremely long work days, no sporting chance given, hardly any support from middle/upper mgmt.

    Advice to Management

Support your management team. Be more transparent about the realities of the company's position/future.

I worked at Hostess Brands full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay is ok, but not commensurate with level of abuse. There are a handful of hardworking, genuine, respectable people around. Definite possibility of being promoted to a corporate title above your ability level and allowed to flounder if you have an MBA or if you grew up in a Hostess plant and excel at fixing the numbers and assigning blame to those below/around you.

    Cons

Abusive treatment of people, myopic leadership that panders to and promotes fear mongering and scapegoats ruthlessly. Terrible place to work unless you have no other alternatives. The aggressive accumulation of debt so the PE ownership could siphon their profits off their investment up front does not bode well for long term outlook for normal employees who aren't in the inner circle.

    Advice to Management

Abuse and scapegoating to "get results" is not accountability and it's not good business. Have the courage to be fair and good to people, to standardize and be honest transparent in metrics tracking, and to stop glorifying the same people and behavior in management/corporate leadership that breeds Union organization and pushed the old Co into failure.

    Pros

I liked the third shift. I liked keeping busy. I liked working with other people.I liked doing the paper work.

    Cons

I didn't like when a trailer was late with the product to be shipped out. We were not kept busy while waiting. I would rather be kept busy working at a steady pas than to have down time.

    Advice to Management

Work well with others, and try working as a team to get the task at hand done together and efficiently.

I have been working at Hostess Brands full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great new fast-paced innovative company that has potential to change the landscape of the Sweet Snacking industry

    Cons

Fast-pace may not always allow for best analysis of consumer insights to help guide best decisions.

    Advice to Management

Being understaffed doesn't allow me or my team the full benefit of our expertise. We are often too busy just trying to 'get stuff done' to be able to really add the value of our insights.....an unfortunate miss.

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

Good people to work with as far as fellow employees was concern. Independent work flow was the normal procedure. Planning work flow was each individual responsibility.

    Cons

Company went bankrupt Chapter 13. Management in the middle level was corrupt and looked at employees as slaves, crooks and property to do the wishes as they see fit. There was never as conversation as teamwork concept just a dictatorial mandate from those middle managers. Middle managers was the reason the company folded. Very Sad!

    Advice to Management

Not really much one can say about a company that filled Chapter 13. I just hope that former middle managers from the company is not employed in your company.
