Very great benefits. There are many health benefits to gain as well as information provided from health and nutrients dept. They provide health studies for employees as well as the family.

    Cons

Interaction with higher level out of touch. They seem more interested in what keeps the business going however don't take on any information from employees.

    Advice to Management

Gain advice from employees and listen. Although you do surveys suggestions are not taken kindly.

    Pros

Very professional staff at the Sugar Land community hospital. The interview process was quick and the job offer came a few days after interviewing.

    Cons

The main Methodist Hospital in the Medical Center never contacted me regarding my application. I was employed by the community hospital 3 months before the main hospital contacted me for a phone interview.

    Advice to Management

The majority of time when people leave a job they do not leave the company, they leave the manager/leader.

I worked at Houston Methodist full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I had the pleasure of working at Houston Methodist for six years and will always think of it as one of the best places to work in Houston. The pride the Administration, hospital staff, and physicians took in evaluating the latest and and most up to date outcomes data, equipment upgrades and care methodologies for the patients, served to highlight the fact that patient safety was always priority one for the organization, as it should be!

    Cons

New department leaders need more training and follow-up during their first year with input obtained from reporting staff, in order to better understand the hospital's mission and the Houston Methodist way of doing things, before implementing work strategies and processes from their originating institutions, which do not coincide with the organization's vision.

    Advice to Management

Staff concerns involving new department leadership disclosed at the exit interviews with HR, should be elevated up to administration for leader review purposes before the costly act of having the majority of a department's staff members leave the department or organization.
