Managers simply don't know what they are working on. The retention ratio of the service is very low because the entire system is built by engineers from completely different industries. They don't know what the customers want and the functions are built just out of their imagination. The upper management has no long-term vision and no solid plan on how the company will evolve in the coming years, including IPO. The top genius chose to leave the company after a couple of years with no hope to see the IPO coming. They started hiring people remotely during the pandemic. Many talents joined the company attracted by the stock incentive they promised, but get laid off massively when things screwed. The same pattern repeats at least 2-3 times during the last five years. Most of the team leaders are from other industries and have no idea what they are working on. They play politics against the people who show threaten their job security. Because the employees all have no job security, the majority of them choose to keep quiet. I believe the culture might get worse by now. Engineering-level employees are young and energetic, but the big disadvantage is they mostly lack experience in the real estate and re-modaling industry and don't know what the customer really wants from the product they are trying to build. This pattern probably worked well in the past when there was no domain knowledge needed. But things work completely differently working with the pros
