    Pros

Management is considerably laid back. Employees are allowed to wear shorts. Generally busy so no fluctuation of employees. Good random bonuses for employees like meals. Good people.

    Cons

Strong miscommunication between parent company. Not a lot of expansion.

I have been working at Hover-Davis, Inc. full-time

    Pros

The employees who still work here are hard working and easy to get along with. They go the extra mile because of their work ethic. Clean environment and management is faily good about giving requested time off. Workers are multi-skilled and change jobs as needed.

    Cons

No raises, no bonuses, no appreciation is shown to hourly employees. Own by Universal Instruments, this company does very skilled work at very low wages. Hires rarely, takes advantage of temporary workers and most haven't seen any kind of raise in almost 10 years! All of this while having periodic meetings telling us how well we are doing. Very unhappy workers. They deserve much ch more. No advancement opportunities. Management knows workers are doing their best, but pushes them constantly.

    Advice to Management

You have good workers in a Non-union shop. Start treating them better. They are the cogs that keep your system going. Speak up for them to the upper echelon.

    Pros

Was a great small company with a wonder team environment.
Very interesting projects that were very hands on.

    Cons

Immediate managers were out of touch with employees. Seemed more concerned with financial numbers than getting equipment and research/development budget for engineering.

I have been working at Hover-Davis, Inc. full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The employees that work here make the company grow, not the management! They truly are the BEST!

    Cons

It's unfair pay for production workers! Promises they don't keep! Lies they don't keep! More and more work is added on without any pay increase! Very stressful!! We're not robots!

    Advice to Management

Pay Employees that have been there longer, that are dedicated to do their job. More than the new hire's that come in with less experience, or no experience at all!

I have been working at Hover-Davis, Inc. full-time

    Pros

health plan is good.... but I am sure that will change very soon like everything else.

    Cons

upper management lies.. not at Hover-Davis... but the corporate big wigs.

    Advice to Management

little people make the place work also... remember that... it starts with good employees that are dedicated and enjoy working at Hover-Davis... Used to be great when Hover used to own the company.

I have been working at Hover-Davis, Inc. full-time

    Pros

It’s a small company where employees are more like family.

    Cons

Unfortunately there is a dark cloud that hangs over Hover Davis. This dark cloud is very consuming and drains the employees of all trust and respect for upper management. Not all management – just the management that is housed at the corporate headquarters in Conklin, NY. This dark cloud tries to appear that it cares. It’s says what you want to hear. It gives you hope and it makes promises that it doesn’t keep. It sits behind a desk looking at numbers with no clue that it’s draining the biggest asset of the company – the employees.

    Advice to Management

I honestly don’t think that anything I have to say to management would make a difference. It has been evident to me and I am sure others that Hover Davis employees are not valued and the minuscule communication from upper management has only proven that they can’t be trusted. I believe that the employees are more dedicated to the company then what the company is to the employees.

I have been working at Hover-Davis, Inc. full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Easy commute, flexible hours, clean

    Cons

No advancement opportunity, wages frozen for five years, deceitful management

    Advice to Management

Your medieval management style doesn’t allow the company to reach its potential. Truly progressive companies use a management approach which creates an atmosphere in which their employees thrive. If you only had a clue on how to motivate your workforce and a clue on what a motivated workforce would do for your bottom line you wouldn’t run the business as you do. There are so many improvements you could make to increase the bottom line and yet your short sightedness always leads you to take from your employee.

I have been working at Hover-Davis, Inc. full-time

    Pros

Clean and most of the employees that work here are great.

    Cons

Management are liers, they promise raises and bonuses and then nothing happens. 4 years using us and there is no slavery there is here. I feel sorry for the production workers they work the hardest and management craps on them. They took away the Birthday gifts.

    Advice to Management

You should treat your production workers with respect and stop crapping on them. If it weren't for them you wouldn't have any production going out the door. They bend over backwards so you can make your big bucks. Your production workers need their raises, stop pushing them aside! Your gonna loose good working people so do something good now.
