    Pros

Great stepping stone from CNA to PCT. Training is paid by the hospital to go to the community college.

    Cons

Pay is low for CNA compared to other hospitals in the area

    Advice to Management

Increase paid to keep the retention of the staff members

The benefits are great you get vision, dental and health insurance with the option of a flex spending account. its located near great food spots so youll never go hungry.

Little room for advancement, if they know your good youll get abused.

    Advice to Management

Howard county general hospital is a great place to get your foot into a hospital if you have your Cna. They send you to school to get your pct and the benefits are good.

The nurses are lazy but i think that might be everywhere.

    Advice to Management

The techs should have the night shift differental or at least not so much difference

I have been working at Howard County General Hospital full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It's a good starter job. A great hospital to learn and develop skills in the medical field.

    Cons

Underpaid for the reigion and they make you feel undervalued. No Union means no one is there to fight for you. This past year the nurses got a "cost of living" raise and the techs didn't see any raise. No opportunities for advancement as a tech

    Advice to Management

    Take care of your techs
