Somehow Rob just gets it. He has created a workplace environment where we all feel heard, seen, and appreciated. After starting working at Howard Development, I really can't imagine working somewhere else. Working in tech, it's awesome for a company to actually have a diverse team, and stick to making that priority. I couldn't be happier with the team that I get to work with. We have the flexibility and freedom to be ourself and do our jobs how it works best for us. Couldn't ask for much more than that.

Cons

So far I haven't found any. Working entirely remote can take a bit of time getting used to, and it's not for everyone.

Pros

HDC doesn't just preach it... every single ideal touted is absolutely practiced. Diversity, equity, inclusivity, equal pay, transparency, flexibility, autonomy... these are all 100% in-practice benefits I enjoy as an employee. I'm extremely proud to work for a company whose ideals are so in alignment with my own. On top of that, pay is *actually* competitive, and completely transparent (even the CEO's pay). There's profit sharing. Guaranteed cost-of-living raises. The benefits are outstanding. PTO is abundant (twice the amount some other companies offer), paid holidays are abundant, evenings and weekends are sacred (it's even written in our client contracts!). We are encouraged to express ourselves, to contribute ideas freely, to communicate openly. HDC is a very supportive employer. I'm definitely happy here!

I stand 100% behind the mission of HDC. This is a great company to work for and I truly believe this should be the blueprint on how to run a company. If I had to sum up HDC in three words they would be, Hardworking, Caring, and Inclusion. - Everyone is heard and seen. - HDC is transparent - Diverse - Remote - Has equal pay - Great colleagues - and so much more...

I absolutely love working for HDC, the company is super diverse and the people are great to work with. Rob does an excellent job of keeping things transparent regarding the company.

Great team of people, inclusive, works around your schedule, take vacations when you plan them (and truly unplug!), great pay & profit sharing, fast-paced environment, thorough employee handbook. All around great company to be a part of!
