I have been working at Howard Sloan Search full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Very supportive and collegial environment, from the CEO on down. Non-team players are not tolerated. Respected in the industry. In business since 1957. Longstanding clients. Highly experienced recruiters.

    Cons

None that are at all significant.

    Advice to Management

    Maintain the work environment.

I have been working at Howard Sloan Search full-time

    Pros

The ability to be creative and the amount of autonomy. This is something that is unique in recruiting, especially for those who are newer
The people are great! From reception to the CEO, everyone is kind and driven
Very low turnover. People have been here for a long time, and for good reason! Just ask if you get the interview
Feel free to reach me on Linkedin if you have any questions about the company and I'll do my best to answer them. Greg Sokol on Linkedin

    Cons

Depending on your personality, the office can be quiet. For me, this is actually a pro. I like to be able to hear my own thoughts and hate background noise because I can't focus. For another type of recruiter though, this is can be a con.
Other companies that say "high-paced environment" really mean to say it is loud and it is tough to focus. This is not a high-paced environment, unless you make it that way!

    Advice to Management

    Keep hiring excellent people!

    Pros

Professional environment where adults behave like adults. A relaxed but focused office vibe. Collaboration through the different units is encouraged and supported by senior staff members. Solid client list.

    Cons

None that I could see thus far. Let's hope it stays that way.

    Advice to Management

If I could provide any advice at this stage it would be to encourage them to maintain the direction of what they have created at Howard Sloan, as it appears to be working.

    Pros

Best place I've ever worked. A great environment to make money, have fun and learn. The culture, from the top down is all about positive motivation and respect for employees. Fantastic CEO and team leaders who do everything possible to invest in the success of every recruiter. No red tape, no bureaucracy. The average tenure is over ten years.

    Cons

Hard to say. I've never felt more at home.

    Advice to Management

Continue to invest in experienced hires as well as people new to the business.

I have been working at Howard Sloan Search full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I've been a current full-time employee at Howard-Sloan for a few years. Firstly, Howard-Sloan truly cares about their employees. There's ample room for advancement and it has a great workplace culture, very team oriented and collaborative. Personally speaking, I've learned a lot since being here and gained tons of experience while expanding my skills. I enjoy the flexibility that this job has to offer and working alongside my colleagues. My superiors genuinely want to help you grow and succeed. It also doesn't hurt that the benefits are amazing! It's a wonderful pleasure to have the opportunity to work here.

    Cons
