    Pros

    Perks of working at a large optical firm. Good benefits, paid vacation and sick days. Overall a good experience.

    Cons

    Some management issues, gossip, staff drama.

    Advice to Management

    Use human resources for employee problems.

    Benefits are the only thing that is good about Hoya. ..

    Cons

    They don't pay enough. ..no increase in pay .... management is all over the place. ... no structure. ... no marketing department. .. hard to get refund from them on Hoya experience. ..

    Pros

    Freedom to set a proper schedule. Accountable for actions.
    Plenty of travel. Encouraging group of people across the US.

    Cons

    Everyone wants to get something for free.
    Working 10+ hour days becomes too easy.
    Fresh ideas fall on deaf ears.

    Large, multinational corporation which is highly diversified in optics, optical filters, colored glass, medical devices and optoelectronics.

    Cons

    The company is decentralized along business lines. Each business entity has its own culture, organizational structure, policies and procedures that are not uniform across the organization

    Pros

    It is a job in a unstable economy.

    Cons

    Company is not fair about raises, Only give every few years or none at all. There is no continuing education/training to imrove yourself.

    Listen to your employees, treat them with respect. Think about decisions and ask staff for opinions before implementing a horrible idea.

    Culture of inspecting and analyzing. Slow to action, deliberate. Stock price has done well.

    Good colleagues. The essence of teamwork is evident. You can approach your boss and ask advice anytime. Also, people promote individual growth in terms of skills and knowledge

    Cons

    Low salary. As compared to other industry, engineers get to be paid more. If you are single and starting, its ok. But if not, its really low
