I worked at Huddle House full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Was able to always get extra hours

    Cons

Everything. bad employees bad food dirty restaurants. Employees get high in bathroom and by back door of store. Under paid as manager. They actually go in and clock you for a break. Illegal. Money never added up right hours never add up

    Advice to Management

Close down cause the employees and definitely management will run you down. Regional manager Steven cooks doesn't investigate situation and goes by he say she say.

I worked at Huddle House part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

None whatsoever. They hire you as a waitress for $2.15 an hour and expect you to wash dishes, bus, clean toilets, etc. without extra pay to compensate for the lack of tips for other jobs.

    Cons

If you love making $2.15 to waitress, wash dishes, bus, clean toilets, sweep and mop floors, you'll LOVE this place.

    Advice to Management

Quit. They're taking advantage of you, too.

    Pros

You can get all the overtime you want. Easy to get a job with the company and moving up is easy

    Cons

Pay sucks! You can get overtime as I said but you will never see your family working for this company. Management expects to much from employes, when you may see them a total of 6 hours a week. You will be promised more pay and extras that you'll never see after breaking your back for them.

    Advice to Management

Have more respect for your employees! Some employes have been there more then 6 years and still make $8 hr. Don't ask your employees to do something you wouldn't do yourself. Your employees may do more if you was actually involved in the company.

I worked at Huddle House full-time

    Pros

Regular customers are great. Can be fun most times

    Cons

Poor hours plus poor pay. Catty women constantly fighting and bringing each other down.

    Advice to Management

Get a better handle on the employees they way they speak to one another and customers. Don't play favorites

I worked at Huddle House part-time

    Pros

    I got a free hat.

    Cons

    - Not willing to work with your schedule (if you have another job). When I was hired, I was told that they would work with me and try to get me afternoon shifts, since I have an overnight job at another store and need a few hours to sleep after getting off. However - after I started - they ignored my set availability and tried scheduling me in the morning, then promptly took me OFF the schedule when I tried to make it clear that I was trying to make the shifts work (even though I had also asked about any afternoon shifts that were open).

    - Any attempts (by email OR phone) to contact the managers will be ignored.

    - I was let go without any notice; when I found I couldn't get into my When I Work profile, I tried calling one manager and he finally answered, giving me round-about excuses about why they had to let me go.

    - Food is really not as fresh as you think. (well, except for the eggs) In fact, when some of it fell on the floor, a couple of the staff started KICKING IT AROUND like it was a hockey puck.

    Advice to Management

When you hire employees, don't make promises that you know you won't be able to keep. Also, actually training the staff would be helpful, instead of having them jump in with little-to-no experience handling the food/appliances.
