I have been working at Huddle House full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Laid back atmosphere, fast paced environment

    Cons

Everything here is old school. The regulations by corporate are not followed to the best of the franchise ability. There is not enough encouragement, and too much fire and brimstone when you do something wrong.

    Advice to Management

Make sure that before you start this job, that this is your passion and that you are willing to give up most of your life to run the place. You will not have a personal life, because everything revolves around your store, and if you are unavailable for the store at any point, prepare to be in trouble.

    Pros

The pay was ok for the time I was there.

    Cons

Management is rude they said they work with you but they really don't say they have your best interests at heart but they don't they're just out for themselves

    Advice to Management

Be more nicer the good workers you do have don't work them to death and also if you speak to a person when asking them to do something that goes a long way instead of barking and yelling

I worked at Huddle House part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Flexible hours, variety of shifts, easy enough work, nice people, well known company name/usually pretty busy, lots of staff

    Cons

Cheap meals means cheap tips, but I knew that going in. If the management fails to schedule enough staff you will be told (not asked) to stay far beyond your scheduled ours. Have a prior commitment? Not their problem.

    Advice to Management

Please provide better training to franchise owners, or find people with more experience.

    Pros

Great product.. This is truly the only positive about the brand.

    Cons

Poor marketing, poor upper management, no growth, lack of vision, corp ran like bad family ownership, no bonuses, racial issues

    Advice to Management

Provide a bonus plan and pay what people earn. High better talent. Replace marketing dept.

I worked at Huddle House part-time

    Pros

Fun environment. Good tip opportunity. Flexible schedule. Allowed for family time.

    Cons

Was flat out told that servers will never get raises. The company does not reward longevity or good service. Even on Christmas and Thanksgiving Day, you will only make 2.75 an hour, or 4.12 if you're eligible for holiday pay. The burden of your pay is placed entirely on the customer, yet they expect servers to take care of their pockets by being ridiculously stingy with gravy and cheese, and never offering senior discounts or military discounts unless specifically requested.

Benefits are a joke. ACA bare minimum, if that, and way too expensive.

Promotions are all about who you know, not what you know.

    Advice to Management

Reward servers for longevity and good service! Even a quarter an hour would do a lot for morale. Otherwise, stop expecting your servers to take care of the company over the customer, when the customer is the only one who pays for that loyalty.

I have been working at Huddle House full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I like the different people you meet daily, I love the regular people that come everyday. I like working with my coworkers they keep you laughing and on your toes.

    Cons

I dislike the fact that there are enough people on a shift. You really don't have any backup. There's only one cook that has to do all that work.

    Advice to Management

There's only one manager and she only works mornings and have weekends off. So the rest of the shifts have to fin for themselves.
