    Cons

Forever on a contact, lots of cliques in the organization as long tenured people so if a contact person comes in they all feel threatened- Training is very poor no documentation at all- parking is not free either have to pay and we are staff?

Treat your contract employees as part of the team and not make them feel like an outsider

I worked at Humber College as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

You have employment, at least for a term. Other instructors are pleasant people. Staff in the Department are always helpful. Campus is quite nice.

    Cons

You cater to the weakest, least motivated students. Work borders on exploitative. You're not paid to mark, and there is a great deal of marking. No job security whatsoever.

    Advice to Management

Raise salaries, and build in more job security. No serious academic will hang around.

I worked at Humber College part-time

    Pros

Provided many resources for teachers to connect with each other. Offered workshops, especially those on integrating technology into the classroom.

    Cons

Lakeshore campus is somewhat less developed than North campus and some things (such as using Test Centre services) are more time consuming there.

    Advice to Management

Keep fostering the great environment! Facilities at Lakeshore campus could use more focus.
