I worked at Humber College (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - flexible hours; if you are a student at Humber College you would be able to adjust your class schedule to your work schedule.
    - a lot of benefits.

    Cons

    - the position responsibilities get repetitive and if you are kind of person who cannot do routine tasks this job wont be for you.

    Advice to Management

    - do weekly meeting with ambassadors to address your concerns, questions, suggestions or any other relevant information.
    - allow students to compose their schedule.

Current Employee - Athletics Supervisor in Etobicoke, ON (Canada)
Current Employee - Athletics Supervisor in Etobicoke, ON (Canada)
    Recommends

    Pros

Working for Athletics allows a lot of flexibility. As mentioned before, it provides a good balance between school and work. Athletics recognizes that its Supervisors are also students, and allows time off when needed.

    Cons

Unfortunately, the hourly rate isn't the greatest at Athletics. It is probably comparable to other places of work, but I have worked in other departments of Humber College and been paid a higher hourly rate for similar work responsibilities.

    Advice to Management

I think it would be beneficial for Athletics to empower its employee more and to show mutual respect between superiors and Supervisors. Sometimes the manner in which issues are address lacks professionalism.
