      I worked at Hunt Adkins

      Pros

HATCH is an amazing opportunity to gain incredible exposure to advertising. The staff at Hunt Adkins knows what they're talking about and are dedicated to their work. It's rare for staff with rich backgrounds in advertising to guide young individuals searching for experience in the industry.

      Cons

Smaller shop can make for longer hours.

      I worked at Hunt Adkins

      Pros

Great people who are smart and really invested in producing good work and developing talent.

      Cons

Resources at a small shoes force you to be scrappy at times.

      Advice to Management

Maintain the positive environment that has been built throughout the agency.

I have been working at Hunt Adkins full-time

      Pros

Awesome people who are super creative and great to hang with. Great location near everything downtown and the space is great too. Love the classics feel of everything. Lots of things where we get invested in as employees so that really makes me feel valued.

      Cons

Work long hours, although thats the industry so not specific to HA. Parking sucks, costs a lot downtown. Minneapolis is cold as crap in the winters, although the skywalk does help a bit.

      Advice to Management

Get to know the people a bit more. I know you're super busy but that investment can go super far in an employees perspective of work.

I have been working at Hunt Adkins

        Pros

Where do I start? 1. The people - Strategic, talented, and real. You couldn't ask for a better place to work in being surrounded by people who truly do care about doing what's right for the brands we touch. It doesn't matter how big or small the job, the commitment to excellence lives within the walls. 2. The culture - Work hard and celebrate together. I'm blessed to work on a team where everyone takes pride in the...

Don't stop doing what you're doing and believing in your people. This will only add to the agency's continued strength and success.

I have been working at Hunt Adkins full-time for more than a year

        Pros

I love my job at Hunt Adkins! The culture here is great; everyone is team-focused, communicates well, and genuinely values and supports one another. Each member of the project team is involved from start to finish, so everyone is engaged and feels open to contribute their ideas. Compared to prior agencies I've been at where the process was very assembly-line-oriented, HA’s holistic approach works so much more smoothly....

        Cons

Occasionally there can be some long hours, but that's to be expected at any ad agency. I really don't mind when I'm surrounded by so many other dedicated hard-workers!

        Advice to Management

        Keep up the great work.

I have been working at Hunt Adkins full-time

        Pros

In my agency experiences, Hunt Adkins is one of the best in terms of offering opportunity for varied experience and career advancement. HA's smaller size makes for smaller teams, which in turn leads to an all-hands-on-deck approach. I've had the opportunity to work with everyone from Interns to Directors to dig deep on everything from traditional brand campaigns to website UX & design to new biz efforts to agency-awareness...

        Cons

No hand-holding here. You definitely need to have plenty of initiative. If you don't consider yourself enterprising, you will most likely find yourself with less opportunity for the above Pros.

I worked at Hunt Adkins full-time for more than a year

        Pros

As the title alludes to, Hunt Adkins is a great place to get your foot in the door if you want to get into advertising. They place a lot of faith in their young talent, which allows them to grow quickly and often into full time roles. The space itself is beautiful. If you're looking for something funky and quirky, their open floor plan overlooking Hennepin Avenue lends itself to some great views. Entry and mid...

        Cons

To continue on young talent, HA does invest heavily in the interns, but there are caveats that come with that. The first, there's no real support. Most employees are "too busy" for proper training so it's a sink or swim environment. That works for some, but not all. Second, the micromanagement of what little time is actually spent with a superior is borderline ridiculous. Coaching and micromanaging are synonymous at HA,...

        Advice to Management

HA needs to invest in employees with hard digital backgrounds that know a thing or two about UX, development, mobile, etc., to properly give itself the title of "Digital Shop." Once that happens they can then walk the talk. Right now digital is treated like a an app or hashtag gimmick done to boast about HA's digital prowess. Until they invest in talent, digital will be nothing more than that gimmick. Trust in your...

        Cons
