The ppl I work with are awesome. They truly believe in teamwork.

    Cons

I worked at Huntington Hospital part-time

    Pros

Great pay and good benefits (never received the latter)

    Cons

Talent acquisition for this organization is very disorganized. Hospital management can accurately be described as the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing. I was fired after about a month of working there because I missed a day of work (on doctor's orders) due to enduring a car accident after leaving the premises at the time end of my shift. Very unsympathetic to employees and poor attention to detail.

    Advice to Management

    Lack of empathy breeds contempt!

I have been working at Huntington Hospital (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nice small, community hospital. Staff are friendly in the fiscal department and work well as a team. Flexible hours

    Cons

Limited growth opportunities because of the size. Limited staff means people need to be flexible to other jobs not specifically in your job title.

I worked at Huntington Hospital (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I worked with a lot of great people and Pasadena is one great city to live in. The builds with garden areas is way above average. Common to hear new people say it looks like five star hotel.

    Cons

Long term employee's hit a salary cap that is low. My time there the benefits were slowly been reduced. Took a lot weekend call.

    Advice to Management

    Pay attention to the staff.

I have been working at Huntington Hospital full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I love working at Huntington. The facility is huge and clean. We have ancillary staff such as RTs, EMTs, phlebotomists, and EKG techs to help us in our busy trauma ER.

    Cons

My complaint is that Huntington pays very low. We are currently non union and our salaries seem to be quite a bit below the median rate for this area.

    Advice to Management

Pay, pay pay! We need to be paid what RNs deserve!
