    Pros

Huntington is a company that cares about their customers and employees. The products that Huntington offers are second to none. Huntington continues to expand which allows for amazing career growth! Competitive Pay and great incentive plan to reward performance.

    Cons

The In-Store hours are great for customers, but consequently require employees to work on a Sunday rotation.

    Pros

The reputation in the community, the care the associates have for the customers, the stability over time. Huntington has been in business since 1866 and still operates under the same name. Huntington associates care about each other and genuinely care about the customers. Huntington associates are very involved in the communities in which we serve, and we are well known for this reputation as a giving organization. We pride ourselves on our community involvement and our name.

    Cons

The size - we are an attractive target for another bank.

    Advice to Management

    Better communicate with associates

    Pros

People, People, People. Hunitingtion national bank truly does care about it's employees. I have only been with the company for 3 years, but in that short period of time it obvious that this is where their focus lies. They truly believe this is the best way to succeen in today's economy. Word of mouth businees is making a come back and Huntington National Bank is leading the charge. If only other sectors of industry to come to realize this, i think the economy would make a much faster turn around. Instead most just focus on their bottom line, instead of people.

    Cons

It not nationwide, so leaves only so much room for growth

    Advice to Management

I've been very pleased with the organization and treatement of your employees

    Pros

Huntington takes very good care of its customers and its employees.

    Cons

Huntington is a very strict and conservative bank.

    Advice to Management

Give more attention to the service people. They touch 10x more people than our sales people do.

    Pros

The corporate culture- young and progressive!
Pay is competitive. Training is very good!

    Cons

Depending on job title, the upward mobility may be limited! In order to work for the corporate office, you have to live in Columbus. There are not many corporate jobs available for those who live elsewhere in Ohio. When Huntington merged with Sky, the corporate culture changed- it wasn't for the better. Sometimes it felt like if you didn't belong to the 'boys club,' you wouldn't be able to move up into an upper management position.
If you are not an aggressive salesperson, you will not thrive in any of the branches in any capacity!

    Advice to Management

The bottom line is meaningless when you lose sight of the 'big picture.'

Huntington truly cares about it's employees and keeps employees aware of events/ happenings throughout the company. Huntington feels like a tight-knit family of employees. We work together to be an awesome bank and to serve our clients well.

    Cons

Beginning compensation could be more competitive, but that ability to transfer after 1 year in a position is valuable.

    Advice to Management

Continue to keep employees well-informed on occurrences throughout the bank. The information is appreciated.

    Pros

Great company, especially in Columbus, where they're headquartered. I was able to network and really grow my position in the commercial bank industry.

    Cons

No real complaints. Although, while I was working there it seemed like an inordinate amount of people left and went to JP.

    Advice to Management

A training program would probably make for better hires out of the gate. The learning curve not very steep, however, training new employees is always good policy.

Great work place, eveyone was helpful, friendly and I would recommend this company to anyone.

    Cons

Not enough study related work experiences.

    Advice to Management

Give the interns experience that is directly related to their studies, not administrative work.
