    Pros

    Great pay, benefits are good,

    Cons

Always short staff, doesnt.. took months to get manager to cover area just to have 3 people cover 2 branches for a few months.. no days off and work all saturdays.. Huntington wasn't worried at all about it

    Advice to Management

Pay attention at what is needed in branches and be proactive.. dont wait until your branch is short to get it covered..

I worked at Huntington National Bank full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Pay and benefits are good.

    Cons

    Management is not inclusive of all team members; Job descriptions do not match job duties; HR does not support colleagues, they are there to support management; Promotional opportunities only surface for those individuals who are part of the good ole boys club; Annual reviews aren't properly communicated; reward and recognition is only set up for sales colleagues; onboarding of new colleagues is a mess; training needs revamped; more women need to be given opportunities to advance and have a seat with executive management;

    Advice to Management

Don't say one thing and do another. Reward and recognize all colleagues not just sales colleagues. Promote talent inside the company vs. hiring from the outside. Be inclusive of all team members not just those you brought into the team. ensure ALL colleagues have a well thought out job description that matches their job duties. Properly communicate expectations. Don't assume they know what you want. Don't belittle colleagues or allow others to overshadow them. Most of all support your colleagues and empower them to do their job. Don't sit in meetings with the good ole boys and speak negatively of your colleagues. That is not productive. Remember, People matter! Don't advertise integrity and Service heart if you truly don't display it. Your colleagues can clearly see you do not believe in the core values that have been communicated across the organization. Don't just talk the talk l, walk it!

    Pros

Benefits are good, 401k contribution, good pay

    Cons

No major cons to working for Huntington. If you don't like talking to people and finding out about them then you probably shouldn't be a personal banker.

    Pros

Great company, good benefits, good pay. Standout culture!

    Cons

Wear too many hats as a banker, a lot to juggle, and difficult to specialize.

    Advice to Management

Find ways to make the bankers have to worry about less unimportant stuff so they can focus on driving business

    Pros

Learning the operation side is great along with Customer service. 401k benefits are good along with time off. Health insurance offered

    Cons

Working in an in-store your hours will be different and flexibility is more difficult. Not much room for opportunities. They seemed to be offered to traditional branches more

I worked at Huntington National Bank full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Invested in their employees, encourage healthy work - life balance, good benefits, acceptable amount of PTO, some great managers, excellent networking opportunities if you make a point to reach out.

    Cons

Quality of management is not consistent, and rapid growth has caused excessive turnover on the branch level. Many departments are also experiencing job instability as the company restructures, however no more than to be expected from a growth focused industry.

    Advice to Management

Encourage managers to invest more time in developing their direct reports career paths. Turnover because you've hired from within boosts moral overall and deepens connections between departments which creates a better culture and understanding of bank needs from many aspects.
