I have been working at Huntsman Cancer Institute full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The facilities are great. Benefits package is excellent. Good food options at the cafeterias.

    Cons

Chronically understaffed (noted by multiple outside sources including the FDA). Not valued by managers or doctors. Poor career progression opportunities. Unsustainable workloads (part of staffing issue). Blamed by management for things
that are not our responsibilities often. Managers are constantly trying to implement new strategies that are ineffective and waste time. Parking is terrible as well.

    Advice to Management

Hire more people and try to retain the employees you have.

    Advice to Management

If it were me, i'd set up a talent identification program with senior leadership. Saw way too many people leave for better paying jobs, that could have been kept and developed with a little bit of work.

    Pros

    Overall good place to work.

    Cons

Parking is horrible and you pay an unreasonable amount every paycheck to park. This fee also goes up every year.

I have been working at Huntsman Cancer Institute full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This company has a very bright future and is a super company to work for. The co-workers are great and the working conditions are really good as well. I have enjoyed my time working here and would stay here until retirement if I could. The benefits are tremendous as well including retirement.

    Cons

The only con is sometimes you get called off if the census is low or if you are into overtime and they have enough staff to cover your shift. That is really the only drawback. Otherwise I can't mention any other cons with this hospital.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work.
