I have been working at Huntsman Cancer Institute full-time

    Pros

    Great teamwork
    Wonderful customers
    Great training

    Cons

A lot of hoops to jump through once you receive your job in order to actually begin it
Epic training didn't seem applicable to what was actually being done

I worked at Huntsman Cancer Institute (More than a year)

    Pros

Huntsman is a great hospital with a fantastic reputation. The staff are friendly and willing to train new employees.

    Cons

This is a great hospital that I would recommend to anyone who has the misfortune of going through the battle of cancer. The company is fair. My only issue was with the staffing coordinator that seemed to seek favorites.

    Advice to Management

Be consistent, especially with the supervising positions.

I have been working at Huntsman Cancer Institute full-time

    Pros

Good benefits; fun and friendly staff; nice facility; some opportunity for career advancement.

    Cons

    Salary; parking is complicated; management.

    Advice to Management

Need to be more involved with employees and follow through with their word/commitments. Get staff engaged in everything and seek input.

    Pros

    Overall good place to work.

    Cons

Parking is horrible and you pay an unreasonable amount every paycheck to park. This fee also goes up every year.

I have been working at Huntsman Cancer Institute full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great learning experience. I was an experienced coordinator coming to Huntsman and I continue to learn something new almost every day. It is a very smooth operation and the patients I see always praise the hospital and staff for being so wonderful.

    Cons

At Huntsman you tend to work more than 40 hours a week due to being a salaried employee and Huntsman having very high expectations of their staff. You need to plan your week and find a way to balance your work and home life.

    Advice to Management

    None

    Pros

Beautiful building, good benefits, great people to work with and work for, quality healthcare, and Patient focused.

    Cons

Parking, location (up on the hill)

    Advice to Management

They are building a new parking structure but I would ad another one on top of that.

I have been working at Huntsman Cancer Institute full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great company and people to work with. A great cause to work for. Beautiful building and location. Great benefits.

    Cons

Not progressive and find it hard to move up in the company. Compensation is not competitive. Can be emotionally draining.

    Advice to Management

Allow your employees to do what they are good at and they wont fail you. Micro-management kills progress every time.
