    Pros

There are a lot of internal opportunities for advancement. You get to work with people globally.

    Cons

They are very hiearchial, and they don't relay important information to the entire work group.

    Advice to Management

Be open about change! Don't assume that everybody can jump on board right away for a change that you've had months to get on board with...timely conversations with your team will go a long way!

I worked at Huntsman Corp full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good people to work with. Good pay and benefits that other companies no longer offer. Good vacation time that grows over time. Huntsman is modernizing so your skills will be up to date.

    Cons

Company is always downsizing so not much chance of advancement.

    Advice to Management

Redesign the open area, which requires more space or go back to offices.

I worked at Huntsman Corp as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Amazing people to work with. Very structured environment. I really enjoyed my time at Huntsman and learned a lot as an intern. I had an amazing environment that allowed me to grow and learn.

    Cons

I think huntsman should really think about their hiring process. Potentially could be missing out on extremely talented individuals by only hiring through internal - references.

    Advice to Management

Be proactive with learning your employee's processes.

    Pros

A lot of smart, well-meaning people who care.

We were acquired by Huntsman and dismantled manager by manager. Old school culture with corp HQ mentality. Everyone outside HQ relegated to satellite status. IT security and Legal dept obstacles in way of innovation. Lotus notes. Lack of incentive pay.

In my role I was able to shape the process safety management system for the company. I was a major contributor and interpreter of the companies process safety management procedures and practices.
