I have been working at Hyatt full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There are vacation days and paid holidays

    Cons

I will never get to take a vacation because they take my time for sick days I have 4 children and no paid sick days.

    Advice to Management

Paid leave for families with sick children would be awesome. I come to work when I am sick but can't when my babies are sick

    I worked at Hyatt full-time

    Pros

Easy work, make new friends, drive exotic vehicles.

    Cons

Terrible pay. Front desk agents start at $9 to $10 a hour. Front Desk Supervisor is $11-12 a hour. Housekeeping and breakfast attendants are $8.50 to $9 a hour. Having to deal with annoying entitled hotel guests.

Management has absolutely no problem writing you up for being late but act like everything is all good when they are constantly late. Management constantly want you to do more work and their jobs but won't go to corporate and fight for it's employees to make more money.

Management constantly take extended vacations when they feel like it but balk when you want a couple certain days off saying theirs not enough employees.

I worked at Hyatt full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    I worked at Hyatt full-time

    Pros

    Starbucks coffee and breakfast daily!

    Cons

The concept of Hyatt Place does not make sense. They have Gallery Hosts doing too many tasks and not clearly perfecting one. The Gallery Hosts act as front desk, bar tender, bell hop, Starbucks Barista, cook, and breakfast host.... all at one. This creates a LOT of inconsistency in performance. With the complex computer system and needly clientele, it would have been beneficial for the front desk to JUST stick to normal front desk duties.

    Advice to Management

    Where do I start....?!

I have been working at Hyatt full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    People and variation of work

    Cons

Pay is terrible and if you are paying housekeeping to do a job - make them do a job!

    Advice to Management

Make sure you take care of the good employees and not someone that has been there for years, just because. The longer you are at a company doesn't make you better than anyone.
