I have been working at Hyatt full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Benefits are great, family environment throughout the company. Very friendly staff-most care about their fellow colleagues and the work. Great sustainability practices. Oh yeah, and free rooms!

    Cons

Sadly, not everyone is treated the same at all levels. Great place when the property is making money/fruitful, have great owners and leadership staff. Can be stressful when these three are not so great. But really a great company to work for.

I worked at Hyatt full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

the servers are empowered to make decisions and offers to guests. The vu is fantastic and the work atmosphere is friendly. good money as well.

    Cons

no room for growth and promotions. They want you to always stay where you are. most of the servers or entry level position stay where they are.

    Advice to Management

I would advice the managers to let the servers to workout their schedule rather then imposing on them certain days off.

I worked at Hyatt full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Whatever area of customer service you work in, the main gist of your role will be to help people resolve their issues. For most of us, this is a huge positive, and results in a massive boost in karma that helps the day really whizz along.
You may think that sitting with a headset on, talking to customers on the phone for most of the day would prohibit a lively and vibrant atmosphere. With most customer service jobs, however, the opposite is true, with a healthy camaraderie present among staff.

    Cons

Hyatt Employees prides themselves on quality and holds the bar high for peers in its industry. SERVICE and the Golden Rule are what this company lives and dies by.

    Advice to Management

“Fit is someone who has a genuine, demonstrated interest in the company and product on top of a creative approach to the role.”

    Cons

Long hours! Dedication is a must as is the willingness to jump in and help in departments ither than your own.

    Advice to Management

Look for good workers not just the ones good at navigating the political game.
