    Pros

    Great perks from the hotel

    Cons

Not enough employees for the volume of production required. High rent in California means you might be working a second job to make ends meet. Good luck having a work-life balance in California. The scenery is only for the tourists!

I worked at Hyatt full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible work schedule and basically get the days you request off which is really nice especially when you're in school like I was

    Cons

The Management could be so much better. They make the employees job 10x harder which is very frustrating in the hospitality industry

    Advice to Management

Work on communication and appreciating your employees more for all of the hard work that they do.

    I worked at Hyatt part-time

    Pros

great benefits and loved the people there

    Cons

Need to be able to work under high amount of stress, entitled guests and your supposed to treat them as royalty even when they are yelling at you, management won't back you up if a disgruntled guests complains about you.

    Advice to Management

We all are sick and tired of the the way society has let the whole "customers are always right" idea, maybe an individual case by case should be taken in consideration

I have been working at Hyatt full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Benefits are great, family environment throughout the company. Very friendly staff-most care about their fellow colleagues and the work. Great sustainability practices. Oh yeah, and free rooms!

    Cons

Sadly, not everyone is treated the same at all levels. Great place when the property is making money/fruitful, have great owners and leadership staff. Can be stressful when these three are not so great. But really a great company to work for.

I worked at Hyatt full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

the servers are empowered to make decisions and offers to guests. The vu is fantastic and the work atmosphere is friendly. good money as well.

    Cons

no room for growth and promotions. They want you to always stay where you are. most of the servers or entry level position stay where they are.

    Advice to Management

I would advice the managers to let the servers to workout their schedule rather then imposing on them certain days off.
