    Pros

    Great culture and talented people. Hylanders are great and the have super powers too. If you like building up those around you and love to learn this place is for you.

    Cons

    Everyone is supper friendly if your introverted crabby or grouchy look elsewhere. But if work hard and play hard too there are not a lot of cons here.

    Pros

    - Coworkers are some of the best people and friends you'll ever meet. - Flexible work schedule (depending on your manager)

    Cons

    - No direction at all. Every few months they shift directions and completely throw out work done by talented and passionate individuals. - Executives are clueless. No one trusts them AT ALL, and the "cabin in the woods" effort is doing the opposite of what they want. - Pay, just like every other legitimate review you'll see. They gave "top performer bonuses" but then stopped giving out anything the next time raise/bonus time came around because we "already got something." - Nepotism and favoritism are rampant. Phenomenal employees will get overlooked because someone else is speaking ill about them even if it isn't true. - Outsourcing is happening. It feels like the company is trying to push out US employees to replace them for employees in India and Poland. Having them say otherwise is disingenuous. I could keep going, but I think the point is very clear when you read the other reviews: this is not a place to grow your career and settle down.

    Company in process of Outsourcing and transitioning to Corporate Model

    Remote work is currently available

    Cons

    Year after year the company has performed at or better than expectations. Contrary to those benefits trickling down to employees though wages have remained largely stagnant. Recently the company has been doing even better than predicted despite the impact of COVID. The company responded by starting layoffs and emphasizing outsourcing. I.e., the company's success is in no way tied to your success as an employee. This move to outsourcing goes directly against their "core value" of family. It's true what they say, never trust management, they don't have your best interests at heart.

    Pros

    The people I work with are all relatively open minded and are genuinely nice. Big emphasis on learning and growing. Team managers care about you.

    Cons

    As the company grows bigger, more and more stinkers are hired... Some are a bit incompetent and it's frustrating. You will feel undervalued pay-wise. They do not care what the standard for the area is, they will underpay you. No amount of benefits can replace the terrible feeling of getting paid FAR LESS than what you should. The company BOASTS about how great its doing, yet doesn't have the "budget" fair pay to its developers. COVID19 - Now, even with no one using the facilities and in-office perks that Hyland has been known for, the budget should be higher for other things? Higher management is hilariously disconnected.
