I worked at Hyundai Capital America full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Flexibility to take on stretch assignments and professional development opportunities while working with highly talented individuals.

HCA puts a lot of values in its employees. There are several company wide events that are focused on providing communication to employees and helping them feel valued. Employee engagement is a huge focus here.

    Cons

This is a dynamic, fast paced company. Plans can change quickly based on business needs and goals. Flexibility along with a can-do, positive attitude will help you be successful.

    Advice to Management

Continue to focus on employee development and valuing your employees. Management should also continue to focus on growing their internal talent to drive succession planning for the future.

    Pros

Benefits, Health Benefits are good through HCA

    Cons

No integrity, unorganized and a lot messy people that keeps negativity going on, very unprofessional.

    Advice to Management

Learn the processes so you are not allowing your Analysts 2 to run the show, because most of them keep a lot of gossip going on about employees business that only the management team should know, even the employees personal business that they may share with their supervisors.

I have been working at Hyundai Capital America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Car allowance and discounts.

    Cons

Hyundai Capital does not appreciate or recognize the value and importance of the IT organization. They are constantly asked to do more with less. When IT continues to deliver with fewer and fewer resources the Business leaders fail to show their appreciation.

Health insurance options are limited to just one provider.

    Advice to Management

Recognize the value and importance of your IT team.

    Pros

The company has global offices that they often advertise you can move around to. But it's often only a very small number of people that get this opportunity.

    Cons

The Korean culture is not conducive to western business culture. They spend WAY too much time doing useless work that are "fire drills" which take away from strategic priorities. Executive management "communicates" but rarely seems transparent.

    Pros

You'll at least be able to say you have a job to make ends meet.

    Leasing program

    Health benefits

    Cons

Everything! Majority of the agents in there are depressed, sad, stressed out or all of the above. They expect you to collect and call these customers whom they have given cars to who can't afford these car notes before they drove off the lot and the deal was funded by Hyundai/Kia. Now they are shoving numbers numbers numbers down our throats and expect us to collect in the freezing cold sweat shop they call a collections floor. They run the AC when it's raining outside, but if you get sick they expect you to have to use whatever time is available for the WHOLE bucket to take time off. You expect me to plan getting sick from you keeping it cold when there is available time to take off and nurse myself back to good health? There are 3 teams full of about 6 or more people each all have to share time incase someone is sick or has an emergency? Ridiculous! All calls are listened to and graded and they expect you to be call and "bridge" and speak polite when speaking to these angry, upset, belligerent potty mouth customers crying, screaming cursing and telling about how they can't afford the car or wanting a payment extension and you will get marked off because they give you unrealistic goals when handling these types of people. Also if you fail you don't bonus! Customer service is full of idiots who they only teach to transfer back and fourth and set up auto-pay. It's almost as if these two departments can't communicate and get things straight. So many changes happened due to "business needs". Turn over rate is extremely high within a few months half a team of new associates was gone. All of these reviews are spot on. They do not care about their employees nor do they work with them, either you follow "company policy" or you're out. Please read reviews before applying. If you need something for about a month or so to hold you over until something better comes through for you then this may be for you, I don't suggest this for anything long term. They always make promises they cannot deliver.

    Advice to Management

    Stop lying!
Learn how to work with your employees!
Show some compassion, none of you are superhuman.

I have been working at Hyundai Capital America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great building, events put on by the employer. Also medical benefits are pretty good. Generally speak its a pleasant place to work. I would work here again.

    Cons

Math, most managers lack the most basic math skills. Outdated programs and they know it. It causes many issues with month end reports and even so employees bonus structures. Not everyone is on the same page, communication is a huge down fall here.

    Advice to Management

Management knows the issues so keep bringing it up to corporate and stay positive!
