    Pros

Great atmosphere, management teams are great good salary & benefits, thorough training; work life balance; company discounts

    Cons

No downside unless you don't like working late; current employees who bad mouth the company but still work there; employees bringing advice from previous employers.

Decent benefits ok work place working environment

    Pros

The benefits in particular the vehicle allowance pays for your car note with a qualified vehicle. health benefits are pretty industry standard and are decent. work place is ok. Upper senior management is good and has strong leadership and vision.

    Cons

Strict attendance policy, if you are late just a few times you are terminated no matter the reason. Unfair management that will get rid of you for any reason even if you have never been in violation of company policy, if the company isn't doing good or they don't like you, they will find a way to get rid of you even if you did nothing wrong. Also they make you do everything, in your position within this company you are expected to do multiple jobs 3-4 jobs that other comparable companies have separate positions for and it is like this throughout the whole company no matter the department or position. Early morning hours non-flexible shifts. poor work life balance missing out on work is extremely frowned upon and will result in your termination at some point within the company.

    CAPTIVE FINANCE SERVICE CENTER

Aug 21, 2018 - Senior Analyst in Atlanta, GA

    Pros

Small to mid sized company. Benefits are slightly above average. They offer 401K employee contributions. Not publicly traded but is a globally recognized name brand company that supports well known automotive brands: Kia, Hyundai & Genesis. If you're under the right manager that grows & develops you, you can grow your career here with hard work.

    Cons

In an era when you can work remotely from anywhere, this company doesn't actively support work-life balance "work-from-home" (WFH) options. They do offer it for a very limited selection of postions. They look for a reason to say 'no' vs. saying 'yes' and trying WFH out. Again many of these HQ jobs can be done in the centers, but old style management needs to see you face-to-face. Their collections and customer service personnel get 'demerits' for being tardy, taking unplanned personal time off (PTO) like they're kids, which leads to their high turnover in these departments. There's a lack of career mobility in the service centers unless you want to pony up and move to California on your own dime where they hand out high paying jobs with senior role titles. Managers aren't too prone to issue you a O=Outstanding or S=Superior PER rating, which doles out the biggest bonus & merit pay-outs despite your perceived hard work. Many of their reward programs are more geared towards O's & S's within the organization. The company should offer tuition reimbursement to all employees who want to improve their skills or learn new skills; not simply tie it to your current job title.

    Stay Away

    Pros

Hyundai Capital America's sad/pathetic effort to be a cool and innovative culture. Breakfast on fridays - stale muffins, and quiche that has been sitting out for who knows how long. Training was great....for the short time that we had one.

    Cons

Horrible management! No opportunity for growth. So much favoritism. If you are interested in applying to a different position within the company, the management has a reputation of bad-mouthing the employee to keep them in their current position because that employee is good at what they do. PTO is accrued, and even when you have accrued time to take off, getting it approved is impossible. No clear direction, everyone is on a different page. Horrible communication, everything is last minute. Work weekends and holidays, open until 9PM the day before and the day of month end. "Volunteers" to work weekends. The way management threatened the employees that if they didn't get volunteers that they would "pull your names from a hat." The more logical way to go about not having volunteers would be to either hire more people, or have a rotation of the employees to work, that way we don't learn last minute that we'll be working that weekend. Expect no work life balance. Truly a Korean-run company.

    Disorganized Debacle

    Pros

Really struggling to find something to say here.... I really did enjoy my few colleagues that actually were kind to me in my little over a year here. There were some nice company functions. Weekly breakfasts.

    Cons

Absolutely no work life balance here. Vague, insufficient training. Management and Executive Teams are placed on a pedestal and rudeness and inappropriate behavior is accepted. Employees of different levels held to different standards. Numerous reorgs to the point where you are confused about who is what and where. Some new program rolls outs were fast and without thought and others took way too long to come to fruition. Hard time prioritizing the important projects. They kept on sending out surveys to employees but it seems like they do not act on the results that they are receiving.

    Horrible working environment

    Pros

Not a single positive thing about this company other than the day you quit and walk out.

    Cons

HR and recruiting department management is incompetent. If you like being harassed, bullied and verbally abused this is the place for you.If you file a complaint with HR nothing is done and you will be retaliated against. The company offers no work life balance. You will be paid below market value cause the Comp team has no clue how to price a job in a competitive market. If you have been fired from previous employers for abusing your staff Hyundai will hire you. This is not a place for anyone who believes in hard work and fairness. If you are unethical this is the place for you. Good luck to anyone who even considers a career here, you will be sorry.

    Pros

Good pay Good benefits (medical) Good people Good car leases + insurance Good opportunities (tons of jobs open, people move around a lot)

    Cons

Awful Work-Life balance (they will work you to the bone with little concern for your heath) Terrible Culture (tries to be Apple, but they are not) Stress is high with lots of fire drills all the time No clear vision No real mission (sad) High burn-out (unless you're Korean and you're use to it) Hired tons of people who don't really know what they are doing. There are people waiting around for work. Way too many PowerPoint presentations Terrible systems

    Pros

Free benefits. Company events. Free food.

    Cons

No work life balance. Attendance policy sucks. They have you on a point system and if you're more than 30 mins late, you get 5 points which is equivalent to a call out so you might as well not come. 10 points you get terminated. U can't take time off unless it's earned. You earn a day of pto per month. They overwork you if you're a good worker. Lots of favoritism. Too many temps. Location sucks. Mostly lateral moves no real advancement.
