I have been working at Hyundai full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The dealership I work for is fantastic and very understanding. I have one of the best Desking Managers I have ever had the pleasure to work for. This review SOLELY pertains to my experience as a Hyundai employee not dealership specific as I have worked for more than 5 dealers in 5 states.
They had a fantastic incentive program then they chopped it down to a good one for bonuses if you had good surveys and sold volume. But WOW what happened.

    Cons

Now that Genesis has been separated from Hyundai they no longer count the sales towards bonuses. So I have lost all my incentive programs cash top tier because I spend most of my days dealing with the ELITE customers they want us to handle for NO COMPENSATION. How can I be expected to hit my Hyundai goal of 17 if you do not count the Genesis sales towards that goal. I have to go to peoples houses and demo cars as well as reconnect; which I understand. How can Hyundai/Genesis penalize me and take away my opportunity to reach my top tier levels by no longer counting Genesis sales RDR's towards bonus levels. I lost a suffiecent amount of money this month because I sold two Genesis which did not count towards my objective goal. Shame on you. I am HONESTLY CONSIDERING going to another manufacturer as you just took the bread and butter of my job away from me.
The sad part is i know that I am not alone in this situation as a fellow sales man here lost over 1600$ this month in RDR bonus cash because they did not count his Genesis sales. The worst part of the situation is they never even told us this was coming, complete BLINDSIDE. The CEO should be embarrassed for this clear cut case of trying to RIP off the employees but not paying them their well earned incentive bonuses for hard work and dedication to the brand. Truly an embarrassing situation as he boosts more sales then cuts our pay checks to pad his pocket.

    Advice to Management

What happened to the mark up in these cars? Really even an Ultimate Santa Fe only has a MSRP to Invoice mark up of just over 1000$ dollars, No genesis counts as RDR for Hyundai and 90% of the deals are minis. Start looking for a different manufacturer cause your seasoned sales are going to jump ship quickly.
