    Pros

You interface with an enormous amount of talent and experience.

    Cons

You interface with an enormous amount of talent and experience and that is where the adventure ends. Too many people that have nowhere else to go after they leave Afghanistan because they really could not or didn't hack it in the military. Super egos that IAP has placed in supervisory/management positions to fill a position vs hiring because these individuals have BSed everyone with a bloated resume.

    Advice to Management

Review your in country management team and determine if they really do live up to the goals and values IAP proclaims to execute. Many reviews refer to employee treatment - that is a result of poor incountry management and supervision. Just because these folks have spent the last few years making a very good paycheck does not indicate performance or leadership. Rotate management out of country every 2-3 years to allow for fresh approaches to the work environment. Many site managers ignore quality of life issues to save their own positions and run very good people out. Stop the flow of resignations, terminations, and loss of contracts. Stand tall to the military contracts team and demand quality of life standards equal to military personnel. As long as you have the division you will continue to have performance and longevity issues. If you are a manager - Rule # 1 - take care of your people. IAP needs improvement.

    Pros

Can't find any! The leadership lies and cheats the workforce at every turn!

    Cons

The lack of real leadership by management and pay! Those with higher skills and certifications and education are paid the same as a high school graduate with no certifications!

    Advice to Management

Get out of the way and learn what real leadership is! You are in no way a benefit to the company or the workforce! You lack the Education and Certifications to be in the position you are in!

I have been working at IAP Worldwide Services full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You will get a build up and incredible panacea of what this once well regarded firm can do for you.
You will continue to receive almost daily "pap" emails about valuing employees and core growth and literally every buzz word in leadership you can imagine.
You will get to have an incredible chance to experience the literal opposite of this once you get hired

    Cons

Reimbursement reports are ridiculously detailed and rarely accepted.
Once you go overseas you can expect to be treated, regardless of skill set or professional background, like some general laborer in a sweat shop.
Overseas leadership follows the company guideline of threaten, and ignore employees.
If something was not in writing on your contract it will not happen. If it is in writing on the contract you have a 70% chance of them doing it.
The final con...yep taking the job. Robert Redford and Paul Newman would be proud.

    Advice to Management

Its obvious that high turnover, and poor performance are not indicators that better slogans won't work. Return to your roots where employees felt valued. When a regional supervisor is visiting a site...try having him talk to the employees rather than visit the sights.
Profit is nice, but destroying your name in the name of profit reeks of some rip off scam
