    Pros

Good salary, great colleagues and travel. Solving real problems and really able to make a difference

    Cons

Management, especially senior management. I fear they have lost all sense of reality, year upon year the targets are not met and staff surveys show how bad they think their management is. None of them leave as they wish to keep riding the gravy train.

    Advice to Management

    Leave

I worked at IATA full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

relative good salaries, good balance work private life

    Cons

toxic culture, people are in general quite unhappy despite good salaries, for most the primarily motivation is to keep job and get bonus at year end, disfunctional place to work, highly political, slow to take decisions, is really a place to avoid overall if you wish to feel engage and motivated over the long run. There is almost impossible.

    Advice to Management

implement the values that you claim to have, be transparent and honest

I worked at IATA full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Twenty days vacation, good health dental and vision, and good 401k plan. Okay discounts on hotels and such. Standby travel.

    Cons

Management leads by fear. Humiliation and retaliation are the game at IATA. This is a rigid organization touting innovation, yet fettered by its insistence on complicating even the simplest process.

    Advice to Management

    Simplify

I worked at IATA full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great projects, great people, truly international, well connected to the industry, good salary packages, if you like air transport it's your place.

    Cons

Historically deficient HR policies (very little career planning, people development, manager training etc.). Has improved somewhat recently, but still lot's to do.
The organization's growth has stalled recently, further limiting growth opportunities for its people. But projects remain just as ambitious, leading to growing incidence of overworked staff, burning themselves out.

    Advice to Management

Put more emphasis on people growth. Adopt more modern HR policies.
