    Pros

Lots of international exposure, heavy studies on policy in the US and EU, very friendly work environment, great help on my internship with others in the office and lots of good Greek language practice.

    Cons

Sometimes things were a bit disorganized, my original instructions were a bit unclear for my internship at first but were clarified along the way.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what youre doing, just work a little on organization and providing interns with exact instructions on what they are doing at your company

Technicians at small sites are on call most of the time.

I worked at IBERDROLA Renewables full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Good, intelligent and insightful colleagues
Excellent benefits include great 401k, PT and bonus
    Ideal downtown location
    Professional support by local management

    Cons

Divergent departmental goals, strategies and management
Unorthodox decision making by parent companies
Excessive and frustrating hours required of some employees

    Advice to Management

Find opportunities to bring the teams back together. Too many feel that they work under different management and are no longer connected with Portland goals.

    Pros

    Great people!
Very family oriented. Many employees have been with the company for many years.

    Cons

Not many "cons". The is foreign ownership of the company, which makes things function rather slowly. Overall, good place to work.

    Advice to Management

Make more effort to bridge the gap between the two methods of business. More unity between the different businesses.

    Pros

Benefits (health and retirement) are great.

    Cons

HR has more say in hiring and compensation than they should. No clear direction or communication from the parent organization in Spain whom no idea how the U.S. operates.

    Advice to Management

    Let management manage.

I have been working at IBERDROLA Renewables full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good for Entry Level Engineers or gaining experience in an established company. Good pay and benefits. There are still many smart and interesting colleagues.

    Cons

Very little growth, even less challenge,
Good talent is slowly leaving for new challenges

    Advice to Management

Take the company vision and make it real for employees. Working at a renewable energy company that feels more like a profit tool is demotivating and a great way to lose valuable employees.

I have been working at IBERDROLA Renewables full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, good pay. This was really an outstanding company to work for at one time.

    Cons

Spain continually making budget cuts even though they are making a huge profit.

    Advice to Management

You are beginning to lose some of your best employees just to save nickels and dimes.

I have been working at IBERDROLA Renewables full-time

    Pros

Benefits are great, compensation is adequate, location is great

    Cons

Huge differentiation between management and non-management positions. Management lives in their own bubble, with great perks, but very little sensitive to employee morale.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, give them opportunities to grow, empower them. Act more as leaders and less as managers.

    Pros

Amazing company, people, systems and compensation.

    Cons

Company is strongly tied to the Spanish government and it does affect cash flow and corporate decisions.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what your doing.
