    Pros

    IBM is a great company and another face of innovations which make impact on world. It is having great work culture, tremendous opportunities to learn on job as well as through digital offerings. You can choose the technology of your interest and excel into it. IBM provides great opportunities to work in all domains when you are ready to take the challenge.
    Provides great work life balance and you can reach out to great fellows in IBM who authored books which you used in your engineering education.

    Cons

    Compensation growth is slow, not at par with market.
    Large organization so difficult to navigate through different business units.

    Advice to Management

    Need more close integration with product and services divisions. More employee focused decision are required.

    Pros

    Working collaboratively with IBMers across the globe was wonderful. The intranet for search, tools and collaboration is second to none. Strong career skills and mentoring initiatives. Easy access to knowledge and new technologies.

    Budget cuts and RA concerns.

    Devise a way to allow employees to slide between roles and divisions to alleviate concerns of being let go

    Process oriented management
    Many opportunities to learn

    Many smart people to learn from and network

    Clueless middle level management
    Little or no growth unless you have the "connections"
    Too much process (bureaucracy) and too many turf wars
    Too many dumb people hampering your progress

    Advice to Management

    Hire smarter managers or better still give opportunity to smart insiders. Reduce bureaucracy and reward true talent. More transparent management.
