I worked at IBM for more than a year

    Pros

It's a job. They have a good lunch service. lt's a job. Plenty of free parking. It's a job. You get to supply your own office supplies. You do get a desk. It's a job.

    Cons

IBM's main concern is profits. Making their workers work a weekend a month without additional pay. No real concern for their employees' career.

    Advice to Management

Think about your investment in your employees

I have been working at IBM full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The home office opportunity, salary and office location are good. In the benefits package, you get an AYCM card and BKK passes for free.

    Cons

There is a lot of legacy software. You have to record your work weekly on an hour by hour basis in 3 (or 4 if you work for more than one account) different tool! There is even a chatbot to warn you if you missed your weekly claim. The annual bonus is hard to earn, and even if you get any, they are not even close to what any other company would give to you, so do not count on it...

    Advice to Management

Don't just say agile, BE agile... Make claiming more convenient, because currently, it consumes 10% of our productive time.

I have been working at IBM full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Challenging variety of work with interesting customers. Good people.

    Cons

Bureaucracy. Lots of it. Processes and procedures that don't work if you're away from the IBM mothership. Global organisation that doesn't accommodate local needs

    Advice to Management

Provide a better (human?) interface to IBM processes for those with limited access. The cost of an administrator must outweigh the frustrations that cause increased staff turnover
